A man who is 'obsessed with becoming a dad' has shed almost half his bodyweight by eating a 'carnivore' diet consisting of just meat and eggs in a bid to improve his fertility.

Isaiah Caldwell, 28, from St Louis, Missouri, tipped the scales at 434 pounds at his heaviest - but has now lost a staggering 210 pounds.

He started to make changes to his lifestyle after being told his weight might be causing fertility issues - and now weighs 224 pounds and feels 'a million times better'.

Tech salesman Isaiah, lost the weight by working out and following the strict carnivore diet, which sees followers ditch anything that has not come from an animal - leaving them with meat, eggs and dairy.

Isaiah, who is 6ft4 in height, is now happier and healthier than ever and he and his wife Amanda, 29, are still trying for a baby.

I did that diet for 6 months and lost 25 pounds. When I went off it I gained 10 back.

Anyone who might be wondering if this way of eating is a “fad” diet, please consider this.

The “Standard American Diet” is actually a “fad diet”, and a radical departure from the healthy human diet eaten by humans throughout our history. We did not eat “modern processed foods”. We didn’t have sugar, fruits, manufactured seed oils, pasta, highly refined grains, etc.

Every Monday night, a very good Doctor and his Nurse wife have a 1 hour YouTube video explaining how the “proper human diet” heals, helps with massive weight loss, and reverses many diseases.

Look up Dr. Ken Berry on YouTube to see his many videos on different health topics, and make up your mind. I followed his advice, avoiding all “packaged keto processed foods” and can attest that it works, if followed.

Weight loss surgery is terrible. It isn’t a long-term solution. Why mutilate your body because you don’t want to follow a proper human diet, and then regain that weight?

The reason diets fail, is because people consider a “diet” to be something temporary, to lose weight, instead of as a lifestyle change.

Cian Foley, author of Don’t Eat for Winter, argues the case that carbs are the trigger for autumn fat storage. “In countries with pronounced seasons, carbs typically only exist in late summer and autumn. It stands to reason that these high sugar/starch foods trigger primal processes in our brains/bodies that promote fat storage in order to help us survive the shortages and cold of winter. After graphing an array of natural foods by their optimal harvest month, I noticed a huge spike in high gi/gl foods occurring in Autumn time. Stone-age people would have used this food, along with the staples (protein and fat) to store excess energy and nutrients in order to survive the oncoming season: Winter; just like other animals that work symbiotically with their natural ecosystems.”

[[I wouldn’t recommend an all meat diet, because you could hurt your kidneys.]]

And make you more prone to cancer supposedly.

Everything in moderation- plus exercise- the body needs greens and fruit and vegetables too-

I went through allergy testing and had no reaction until something in the plantain family was run on me

I forget the exact name but I was almost on the floor a few seconds later after the guy left for a few minutes.

Kind of like kryptonite and Superman.

The medic saw and ran over to scrub the test off.

I felt normal almost immediately.

Needless to say I did the shot regimen for a few years.

Been ok since.

Avoiding processed foods and sugar is key.

For ‘carbs’ I consider only potatoes and rice, cooked, cooled, and reheated...apparently reduces the sugar spikes. I avoid bread and pasta.

Fruits are minimal, berries are the exception. Drinking OJ is a no no, loaded with sugar.

I usually have 2 meals a day. The first; olive oil, onion, garlic, turmeric, black pepper, paprika, meat, spinach, peppers, eggs, cheese. The second; meat and veggies.

I do daily bench presses, arm lifts, and a ‘fast-ish’ walk uphill for a mile (treadmill).

Currently trying to cut down on IPA beer...but feeling pretty good :)

If I were a rich man, I’d at least go get a real woman. From what I can see from the back that woman is a whole bunch of Happy Meals away from being attractive. Maybe they could share. He has way too much, and she doesn’t have nearly enough.

Don’t forget the salt. You need a lot of salt with that diet. OR you can eat the pyramid and be fat and get heart disease.

Green vegetables, avoid the starches. You will get just enough carbs to balance, and none left over. Avocado, brussel sprouts, broccoli, salads, olive oil and balsamic vinegar as dressing.

I had an ex GF do it, and she looks fantastic. She was not one of those “engulf the room” fatties. She was about 260, and 5 foot nothing. She has been a steady 125 since. I had her over for a hot tub relax ten years later, and she did it right. The only thing that hangs is on the chest. Some people right themselves before they reach 350, and the results are VURRY NICE...lol

This woman finds those over-developed shoulder muscles most unattractive. A swimmer’s physique is nice on a man. This looks freakish.

In my case, some of the few things that didn’t seem to trigger the attacks bread, pasta and I liked them way too much.

Another unrelated thing was I lived on Prilosec since it was a thing.

I couldn’t go more than three days without no matter what I did. That went on until about two years ago. That was when I came home from nearly dying from diverticulitis.

The medical types theory was Prilosec masked some kind of infection.

At that point I didn’t care. I was in enough misery from surgery but I was free of Prilosec.

All I can guess I had been out of kilter all along.

I had the pain attacks since my early teens but not diagnosed until much later.

I quit Prilosec about 6 weeks ago after being a daily user since 2004. Nearly 20 years, is a long flippin’ time. I listen to Drs about how you cannot get health benefits from eating “for example beets”. You need acid in the digestive tract, and of course DON’T USE mouthwash, as it sterilizes the mouth. You need digestion from saliva to intestines. I still get heartburn sometimes, but I can make it go away by eating some leafy greens.
