When former Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce took a dip into a pool of chili recently, he surfaced missing a valuable piece of jewelry ever football player covets — his Super Bowl ring.
He announced the loss on his “New Heights” podcast.
The ring went missing when he and his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce held The Great Lombaby Games at the University of Cincinnati, a competition between athletes and academics, per CBS Sports.
Part of the competition included participants diving into pools of Skyline chili.
As Jason Kelce surfaced, his ring did not.
“I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event,” Jason Kelce said. “They could not find it. … We have still yet to find it. All of this stuff has now been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati tri-state area. I didn’t think that would happen.”
He has started to get things rolling to replace the lost ring, per the outlet.
Jason Kelce has also put in an insurance claim, but is doubting a happy ending there.
“We’ve already put the insurance claim in, which the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they’re going to cover that,” Jason Kelce said.
Jason Kelce, who played center for the Eagles, announced his retirement earlier this year. The Eagles won Super Bowl LII, which provided him with his only Super Bowl ring.
He can have a cry and a beer with Robert Kraft.
He’s just having a little fun.
Now we know why the eagles didn’t fly The Ring to Mordor in Lord of the Rings…

With the little lady out of town what do I pick up in a can for a good start on some chili?
I’d add bacon, lots of cheese, cayenne and whatever looks good.
In 20 minutes I’ve got a bacon, brie, avocado, grass fed burger on a pretzel roll burger with cottage fries and no salad necessary because I’ve got kale for lettuce on the burger.
But my wife makes good chili so what do you or anyone recommend?
My meals? I’m eating in 20 minutes. Its a science.

How funny would it be if the Stars and Mavericks win titles along with the Rangers, and have the Cowboys be the only DFW franchise that isn't the current champion?

It varies from year to year but $25k is one amount I saw in a story. I don’t think it would be impossible to get one redone by whichever jeweller made them for any particular year and player especially if the player in question was making the request.
