It all goes back to the principle that underlies the 1st Amendment, with its guarantees of freedom of religion, speech and press. The principle is that the government ought not have its thumb on the scale for any set of beliefs or ideas, and should not compel citizens who may not share a belief or idea to support it.

I guess it's a good thing that when anyone says something that shows commonsense they are immediately thought of as a libertarian.
