Nice to see you on the forum, John. I have been waiting for a reply. Since I have been troubleshooting this, I globbed onto the Netscape theory last night when SierraWasp logged off, logged back on with IE5, then could not log on at all with his NETSCAPE.
But today, rwfromkansas mailed me that he has IE5. I thought I posted that.

Before resuming the ignore mode ;-), I just posted something you might find interesting (in the Chinese sense) over on the HTML Auto-Detect thread.

"Not allowing graphics? Not true!" Whew!!

A calendar index would be nice, so we can find threads by date. Or just periodically update a zipped up index:
Date -- Linked URL -- Title

Ping for future reference.
I hope we will always have the ability to see all of the posts we make and receive.
In a sense, it functions as my Free Republic Bookmarks file!

Hows this coming if you are close to moving to "themes"?

I'm mulling it over but inching closer. I have a few more foundation issues to resolve before I push on to this.
I scaled back my plans for theming. I want to make it so the structure of the pages can be themed, implemented with multiple HTML templates. And then on top of that allow for sub-themes (color themes) implemented with style sheets. I have a foundation laid for doing just that, but it still needs more work. Instead, of doing all that right now as I intended, I decided to first get the style sheet stuff straightened out because that (the font and color issues) seems more important. Though before I get serious on the style sheets I oughta get my HTML solid. Still some flux there.
