I look forward to seeing it also. I'm trying to get Trill to call in lost tomorrow at work so we can catch the matinee.

"And they show the Nazgul!" Why can't I remember the Nazgul? (I was thinking the Nazgul were the nine riders?) I can't wait to see the Ents. When I saw The Fellowship at the theatre last year, the audience was so rude, coming in late and talking over the movie, I missed all of the prologue. My b-i-l, who is a big Tolkien fan, told me that I needed to see TT in the first few days it's out, (he's seen them both in the first two days.) He says the good fans are absolutely silent during the movie. I have really enjoyed the DVD of FOTR.....many times!

The Nazgul are the FLYING black riders, and they are very scary with dragon wings, long tails, and snake-like heads. And they look absolutely real.
Also, there are a LOT of parallels in this withthe war on terror; I don't think most of us would miss them. I hope it gets into the public subconscious.

Lord.... Make me sure and strong.
Give me mercy to be kind to the downtrodden.
Give me strength to do what needs to be done.
Give me a voice to sing your praises and to command men in battle.
Give me poise to not flinch at noises, for if I am gathered to heaven, it will happen before I hear it. And flinching scares the troops.
Give me insight into the tactical situation, while keeping the strategic overview in mind.
Give me clean socks, dry boots, and the other thing every soldier and airman needs.
These things I ask in the name of Jesus, who is the Messiah and Savior.
Amen
God bless us all. Each and every one.

A joke I just got in email ...... I have to use the name we're not supposed to mention but I think you'll all agree that in this case, it's ok ......
Pearly GatesPresident Clinton finishes his time on earth and approaches the Pearly Gates of Heaven.
"And who might you be?" inquires St. Peter.
"It's me, Bill Clinton, formerly the President of the United States and Leader of the Free World."
"Oh....Mr. President! What may I do for you?" asks St. Peter.
"I'd like to come in," replies Clinton.
"Sure," says the Saint. "But first you have to confess your sins. What bad things have you done in your life?"
Clinton bites his lip and answers, "Well, I tried marijuana, but you can't call it `dope-smoking' because I didn't inhale.
There were inappropriate extramarital relationships, but you can't call it 'adultery' because I didn't have full 'sexual relations.'
And I made some statements that were misleading, but legally accurate, but you can't call it 'bearing false witness' because, as far as I know, it didn't meet the legal standard of perjury."
With that St. Peter consults the Book of Life briefly, and declares, "Okay, here's the deal. We'll send you somewhere hot, but we won't call it 'Hell.'
You'll be there indefinitely, but we won't call it 'eternity.'
And when you enter, you don't have to "abandon all hope," just don't hold your breath .......

Kassie, it was sweating weather all across the southern parts of our states yesterday. Just went out to get the paper, the worlds worst in the USA, and the moon is so bright and pretty. What a difference a day makes.

It was a beautiful day here in Virginia Beach yesterday. Just a little windy.
While my son and I do tkd, in the evenngs, my husband takes our dogs for a two mile walk. One dog is a mix of lab and who knows what,(something fairly small though) and the other is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. He had just gotten started walking them when a huge pit bull came running at them. Our white dog (lady) has a junk yard mentality. If it moves, it should be bitten. My husband said it was the biggest pit bull he had ever seen. He said both our dogs just stood there by my husband. Lady not even making a movement towards the dog. My husband yelled NO to the pit bull and he stopped dead in his tracks. Then he yelled SIT as mean and loud as he could, both our dogs sat immediately. The pit bull didn't, but he stayed. My husband tightened up the leashes on our dogs and walked off very slowly. It scared 10 years off his life. He said both our dogs together would have been no match for that dog. The scary thing is, that dog was just roaming the street. No leash. I told my husband he should have called someone and reported it being loose. I am calling this morning.
Have you started packing yet??

Doesn't look like ai will unless this guy come off what he offers and I ask for the house, he is WAY off and I am not going to give it a way. Needless to say I am very dissapointed cause I look forward so much to building on the farm and start doing some farm work. Oh well, not all in life you wish for happens does it.

You talking about dogs I had a wee little THREE legged dog once who would team up with my german shepard and go off and get another dog to chase him. The shepard would hid in a big bushey tree I had in the front yard and would run right into the middle of the tree, dog trying to catch him right behind him. As they entered the tree branches the tree exploded. I use to laugh cause it was a plan to get that dog, they did, big time.

How is your daughter? That is a shame about the house deal.
