The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…

Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

The Road Goes Ever On…

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

AARGH! I just realized that the 19th is Clare's first Confirmation Class (and I have to be there since I'm one of the teachers. What about THIS Sunday, the 12th? I'm gonna check with SSQ to see what's going this weekend!

Hi! SMOOCH!
I just got off the phone with my brother (he calls himself SEXYPOLICEOFFICER - hehe..). When he called, I thought it was UTD callin me, but alas no. Mom's plane gets in tomorrow at midnight. So, between now and then he has planned to finish tearing up the floor, rent a steamer for the wallpaper, and get the bathroom done to surprise her. *sigh* Ya think he'll finish this time?

Where is Wneighbor??

Here. Present and accounted for. Just late.

Taking care of stuff here this morning. I was very tired after the weekend... too much talking and not enough sleeping so I slept late and then had to run to go about errands.

My motorcycle is fixed and I pick it up Wednesday!!!! YEA!!!

What about THIS Sunday, the 12th? I'm gonna check with SSQ to see what's going this weekend!

I'd likewise have to check with my siblings. Not to mention I'm not sure what will be up with the car situation this weekend...I'm hoping the sale will be done with, but I'm not sure!

Still looking at locations. How far from you is White River Junction? How about Springfield? Springfield is a lot further down, but my friend Therese's brother is the pastor there, so they know the town somewhat and I could pump her for info - also maybe go to Mass down there. I'd kinda prefer something a little closer, but that wouldn't be toooo bad...especially if we have the comfy wagon by then. My Corolla has many, many good points, but it's not the greatest vehicle for a long road trip with tall brothers...

We have a rubber chicken, actually! No kidding, Joshua asked for one for Christmas and my folks got him a full size rubber chicken.

Jr. had one when he was about 3. A co-worker's mom sent it to him for a joke and Jr. happened to be in the office. So the co-worker gave it to him.

It was right before Halloween. I was gonna spike his hair and take him out with his toy "electric" guitar (annoying tho it was), have him carry the chicken and go as a punk rocker. But I couldn't find the guitar, so I put him in overalls and a cowboy had and he went as a farmer.

Found the guitar about a year later...where I'd hidden it in the back of the linen closet.
