1) Y'all know how much I've b!#@$ed about the pool board. But in the last month thing really have turned around. I've tentatively made a commitment to stay around another year. However, if our equity loan on the property doesn't come thru, we'll most likely never make it to open next year.
2) Last fall was pretty crazy with my f-i-l's illness and death as well as the rehearsal schedule leading up to the Christmas production. I've taken a break from choir and plan to go back the first of September. But I've gone back and forth on whether or not I want to be in the production again. I have a ton of stuff I need to get done around the house, but the bulk of that has to be done by the end of September anyway when my m-i-l moves in.
Still, being in the production wipes out Saturdays in October and November, and closer to the production run it's every night.
Walking along the beach last week I made my "final" decision to go back to choir, but not do the Christmas show. Jr. called a while ago and said we got the notice in the mail for the informational kick-off meeting on September 4. So I'm wondering again...
If I don't do it, I know I will miss being involved. If I do it, I'll be giving up a lot of "free" time.
I've thought about just signing up for "all cast" and not auditioning for a role.
What to do...
Maybe I wasn't lookin'good enuf, but I couldn't find it.

Okay, pool first. Reality is no loan, no pool. We have enough funds to make payroll through the end of the season. That's it.
Hair, yeah that decision surprised me to. But a couple of things happened 1) we got some new board members who have worked their @$$e$ off to make things work. I feel a need to honor their commitment and 2) After a year and a half I finally got all the records from the former President/Treasurer. She is leaving for good on September 30 and that's a good thing.
Agreed. But I have said "No" to everything there since January. And I know that even if I am not in the cast, I would feel a little guilty about not being involved in some other aspect (box office, props, stage crew, etc.)
Still, I'm okay with that (I think).
Heh, yeah, I thought you'd like that!
The Hobbit Hole Forum :: Entmoot - We NEED a Firm Headcount now!
OK - I think this is the cleanest way to keep track of the headcount numbers.
Ksen has posted a thread - With a poll at the top for easy counting.... in ecurbh's forum, link above.
Please EVERYONE Answer there, on that thread, one way or the other so we can get a firm count for this!
If you missed my earlier post and ksen's about the need to commit now, ksen has posted it there in its entirety!

Yes. It's a recurring fantasy that g'nad has.
