Asa Hutchinson on John and Ken, KFI640 (Live Thread)
The John and Ken Show (KFI 64.0, Los Angeles) | truthkeeper

Posted on 07/08/2004 4:08:45 PM PDT by truthkeeper

After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

It seems you could be posting illegal migrant crimes from now until Dec 31st and still not scrath the surface.

It's not, but then facts have never been your strong suit on this issue.

It makes no sense to you to close the border on which over 50% of illegal immigration occurs, simply by walking across on dry land, because "that would leave the back door open."

Okay ace, what is the good of declaring a war on terrorism then leaving every door open?

Have they ever addressed this issue? It seems to me that the people of California are either supportive of or indifferent to illegal immigration by their choice of representation.

The Bush/Kemp/Bennett wing of the GOP has done everything in their power since 1994 to insure that we never have a choice.

California Republicans who oppose Illegals are routinely undercut by the RNC.

It will be interesting to see if Jones goes after Boxer on the issue.

If he does, he'll win.

How badly does Karl Rove want that Senate supermajority?

How badly does President Bush want his judicial nominations approved?

Badly enough to stop appeasing the Illegal Alien lobby?

We shall see.

Georgia:

Clarke County

Randy Burris died a hero, saving the lives of a young mother and her baby, as Randy pushed Heather Carlson's baby carriage from the path of a car careening out of control. A resident of Clarke County Georgia, Randy was the father of three children and had struck up a conversation with Heather about her dog. The murderous car was driven by a drunk illegal alien, Ricardo Arriaga-Gutierrez, whose blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit

Blame it on Boxer, Blame it on California.

"This interview is damning evidence that Asa Hutchison is unfit to hold his job, and it should be cited at every opportunity to demand his resignation.'

If there is a list of recipients... please add my name to the list.

Thanks.... Duramaximus

Arizona: Another Police Officer

Officer Kenneth Collings of the Phoenix Police Department was killed in 1988 during the arrest of two robbery suspects at a local bank when one opened fire. One of the robbers, Ismael Conde, was quickly arrested but the other, Rudy Romero, escaped to Mexico.

Blame it on Boxer, blame it on Califoria.....

Hutchinson had a great chance to restore public confidence in what we are doing and planning on doing to reverse illegal migration.

He blew it by not specifically answering what would be done to restore the illegal sweeps.

Very disappointing.

Not really. Gray Davis stepped over the line, trying to give licenses to illegals and got booted out of office.

Look at the election statistics for race Arnold won: Schwartzenegger and McClintock together (right of center)got roughly TWICE the votes of Bustamonte and Comejo (left)got.

If your goal is to actually secure the country against terrorist threats, as you now claim...yeah, it makes no sense to not secure ALL of the borders.

If you're just trying to stop illegal immigration from Mexico, then you're saying that stopping terrorists is not an especially high priority.

Which one is it?

The party leaders have very little control of anything these days. No smokey rooms anymore. All you have to do is run for your party's nomination. That's it. No one can stop you.

If Jones could win California by opposing illegal immigration, then an outspokenly anti-illegal candidate would have easily won the GOP nomination and would be cruising to victory over the stupidest member of the Senate.

Methinks you overestimate your fellow Californians.

Georgia

Yet another Police Officer:

Officer Hugo Arango of the Doraville (Georgia) Police Department was murdered by an illegal alien Bautista Ramirez There's no dispute about those facts. But the trial has not been a pretty picture as admitted cop-killer Ramirez pleaded self-defense because he thought Officer Arango would kill him otherwise, saying "if I don't kill him, he's going to kill me." The prosecution contends that Ramirez shot the police officer simply to avoid arrest.

Blame it on Boxer, blame it on California....

Asa Hutchinson is a huge disappointment....

It was embarrassing listening to Asa pointedly refuse to answer simple questions. John was actually being nice to him; tossing him softballs. John gave him several opportunities to say that the sweeps either never stopped, are continuing, or will resume on some unspecified date. Asa mindlessly stuck to his talking points like they were crazy-glued to forehead.

I think it would be presumptuous to assume that Gray-out Davis was recalled because of the license issue. It didn't help him, but his fiscal incompetence was a much bigger issue as far as I could tell. But if your hypothesis is correct, anti-illegal Republicans would be winning statewide office in California by the handful. Or even anti-illegal Democrats . . .

The rest of the US frontier is 17,800 miles, and it's far less secured than the Mexican border is.

Which is why the Clinton/Bush/Hutchison mewling about border enforcement at the expense of interior enforcement is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

With interior enforcement, Illegals will begin the process of self-deportation, and pressure on the border itself will lessen.

Yet in January, President Bush announced his guest worker Amnesty which doesn't even require Illegals to leave the country to apply. It's a straight up legalization for a "one-time fee" (the President's words.)

Meantime, the increases in border crossings that began with the passage of SB60 last year continues, even though Illegal Alien CDLs were shelved shortly after Schwarzenegger took office. What's encouraging the additional numbers of Illegals?

That would be the proposed Amnesties of President Bush and numerous Democrat and Republican malfeasants.

Don't believe me?

Ask the Freepers who work in the enforcement of immigration law.

Wait until the Illegals get wind of the Cornyn Amnesty, which would legalize Illegals who arrive within a year after passage.

Georgia:

Christopher Shackleford, 19, was killed July 29, 2000, in Marietta,Georgia , by a drunk driver, an illegal alien whose blood alcohol was at twice the legal limit. Also killed were two other teenagers in the car — Julieanne Pascoe, 18, and Kelli Bourgeois, 19. Chris was an aspiring filmmaker, and was majoring in film at Georgia State University where he was a freshman.

Blame it on Boxer, blame it on California

I seems the main problem is the border with Mexico... Even illegals from other countries know it's easier to cross here...

Ah yes, Poohbah got his arse in a bind here, now he's hoping for reinforcements. What's the matter poor baby, can't you handle your own battles? The answer is obviously no.

I'm sure the people of San Antonio share your thoughts on this. Automobile thefts dropped over 50% when the border rules down there were enforced. You ask why bother. Well, the reason is that crime, illegitimate costs to education, illegitimate costs to healthcare and other illegitimate issues would roughly drop by 50% if only we'd enforce the laws on our books.

You on the otherhand suggest over and over that we not enforce the laws on our books. You advance the idea that we should give up and continue to pay tens of billions of dollars for non-citizens.

Great logic there fella.

Methinks you overestimate your fellow Californians.

The Californians who passed Prop #187?

The Californians who got rid of bilingual ed and racial preferences?

The Californians who booted Gray Davis?

The Californians who qualified a referencum to overturn Illegal Alien CDLs?

The Californians who are burning up the lines and the e-mail boxes at the DHS because they quashed the round-ups of Illegals?

The Californians who have Asa Hutchison running so scared he had to face the John and Ken Show, after earlier trying to intimidate them?

Which Californians do I overestimate, exactly?
