Border Militia: We'll Shut Down the Border with Machine Guns

Casey Nethercott is the leader of a militia group dubbed the Arizona Guard and said during a TV interview broadcast on Friday, "When this Minuteman thing is over, if it doesn't work, we're going to come out here and close the border with machine guns."

KVOA TV-4 in Tucson carried a report on Friday by reporter Nancy Perla that toured the group's compound that sits along the Arizona/Mexico border near Douglas, Arizona. The camera showed two older model American made SUV's, both painted black, that Nethercott claims are "armored vehicles" with "quarter-inch steel in them." Pointing again to the vehicles, Nethercott continued, "You'll get killed without them, here's been so many shootouts out here."

The camera then shows a concrete block wall riddled with bullet holes that Nethercott says came from drug smugglers. The report titled "Mimicman Projects" by KVOA calls them copy cats and says the project could begin on July 4, though Nethercott would release no details.

The Minuteman Project stated through Chris Simcox, who is an organizer for the project, that they don't support a violent solution. "I think anytime you go to that length to take the law into your own hands, you're asking for trouble," Simcox told KVOA.

The armed militia supports the Minuteman Project, but says that if they fail to close the border to illegal border crossers, his group will step in and be heavily armed to do the job.

Supporting Bush is proof-positive that CBB is a Nazi!

Guys, here is a wonderful example of a man, Casey Nethercott, who is one thread away from snapping and causing an international incident. Scary.

Yeah, I'll bet you would have said the same thing about patriots organizing prior to Lexington and Concord.

Find yourself a spine.

... and causing an international incident ...

I like the idea. Mexico has been conducting an undeclared war on us with the intention of regain their former lands. They are using their only real weapon. Its time to secure our borders from the constant attack. In my opinion, another Mexican war would be a good thing.

You do realize this has absolutely no association with the Minuteman project right?

It does, but it will gladly stoop to using Clinton style tactics to discredit the Minutemen.

They are joined at the hip and co-ordinate their activities

And you know this how?

It knows nothing. Like the other, it will lie to discredit the MM.

I support President Bush, just not on immigration. I was talking about the corrupt grinning President of Mexico. I think you already knew that.

In fact, I worked hard to get President Bush elected. I just don't think we should allow ILLEGALS to break OUR LAWS which they are doing on a daily basis.

I guess I could try to pick and choose which laws I want to follow but I would be thrown in jail. They break laws everyday of the week just by being here ILLEGALLY!

Foote is in Arizona also. They are all there. Do you think it is a co-incidence?

Apparently just being in the same state is enough to condemn them with "association". It's a ridiculous point. And Ben, they are in the same state because that is where the illegals cross (shaking head), you're gonna have to try harder, that argument won't wash.

If that is the case, then why did you point out that CCB's support of Bush was somehow egregious? Certainly a fellow Bush supporter would find nothing significant with that Viva Bush statement.

Do you have Viva Bush on your profile page.

You have a credibility problem.

So does tom tancredo, illegal labor helped remodel his basement with an overhead projector and terraced seating.

If he was true to his rhetoric he would get a sledge hammer and destroy that impure structure, but he won't. He like all the rest of us is looking for the best quality at the best prices when buying goods and services.

Now I'm going to get attacked as being some open borders zealot, but I'm not. I don't believe in milatarized borders, but do beleive in documenting these people who want to work building structures and pick and process food in the US which benefits us all, and us the other resources in going after the real bad guys.

If I was in Arizona I would have voted for Prop. 200, what I'm not for is demonizing hard working people and small business people trying to get there share of the American dream.

You are making absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have said nothing about anyone supporting President Bush. I think you have a comprehension problem

Yep. It's just more evidence at its dishonesty.

BTW, Foote is in Texas. So not only is it dishonest, it's wrong.

Well, the illegals cross the border in Texas also.

Of course you know that all these goof-balls were previously in Texas together. Texas ran them off so now they are in Arizona together.

How about if you just trot back under your bridge, Mr. Troll? Your propaganda is so thin we can see your agenda through it.

I happen to be a "small business" and I don't hire ILLEGALS. I pay my employees salaries and benefits and don't expect the taxpayers to subsidize them in order to produce so-called cheap goods. They aren't cheap once you add in all the benefits paid for by HARD WORKING LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZENS. These employers should be FORCED to pay for their benefits and see how many ILLEGALS they employ.

Post 32 shows more dishonesty.

It's been proven many times over on this web site that Tancredo did not hire illegal aliens, but these folks can't help but drag up old rumors and attempt to make them true.
