The moral principle violated by this procedure is the most fundamental of all moral tenets: one can never do an evil in order that good may come of it. Here, the sacrifice of the many babies in order to get one or two to grow into healthy children is so wrong that it overrides the infertile couple's right to have a child.
One baby created at the expense of dozens of others is a macabre tradeoff. We must stand squarely on the side of the dignity of the human person, and we can be grateful that the many God-fearing Christians and other Church denominations do not hesitate to speak out-oftentimes in the face of fierce criticism, in defense of the innocent from unprincipled actions.
She's a beautiful child! And one of over a million now BORN thanks to assisted fertility technology.

Ignore the doofusses who know nothing about human reproduction on this thread. They're too ignorant to know they created dozens and dozens of embryos that failed to develop or implant, for one reason or another. In fact, research on IVF failures is leading biologists to believe that the actual failure rate in normally fertile couples is much higher than previously thought.

For stupid reason there are people here against fertility treatments. The VAST majority of patients are normal married couples, not lesbians or someother weirdos, etc.. For some reason or another there is a contingent of Ludites against fertility treatments.

I go back to Asia in 3 weeks for business and to start another (hopefully) baby on the way with our surrogate mother and our embryos.
As with you, anyone who "attacks" my child will get escrima-ed to the floor in no time if I'm near them.
But it often results in it. Current IVF often involves fertilization of multiple embryos, one of which is implanted, and the rest of which are stored until a successful implantation is achieved.
At that point, those "extras" are often discarded. That's the abortion.
