He had an alarming habit of jumping up onto the tops of doors in the house. He would hang up there, his haunches on top of the door and his front paws braced against the surface of the door, until some unsuspecting soul walked underneath. Then he would drop on your shoulders with an unearthly screech. I think he thought he was a jaguar in the jungles of Brazil.
I had to lock him up when company came, unless they were VERY tolerant and thought his antics amusing.
On the other hand, it was his MOTHER the six-pound little Blue Point who stole an entire chicken out of the roasting pan and dragged it off to hide it under the living room sofa where (as she thought) she could enjoy it in peace.
Problem was the chicken was too big (or the sofa too low), so I walked into the living room to see this apparently possessed dead chicken jerking and waving its poor little bare wings around as Avi tried to yank it under the sofa by main force.
It was taken away, washed, and cooked for supper. And no, she didn't get any. (I ate the drumstick with the fang marks on it. Nobody else wanted it.)

Friend of mine had a tabby that would leap from the floor onto my shoulders.
From that ‘lofty’ perch she’d glare at everyone with this haughty sneer.
Several times I ended up staying late because she would not get off until she was ready and everyone was thoroughly glared upon.
