There are way too many areas of knowledge where FR for some reason gets all of its information from WingNutDaily.

Next they need to address the problems of fairies and gremlins taking down aircraft.

I would like some links for such explosions on 737s, if possible. And maybe there is a compare and contrast article between them and the 747 explosion.
And maybe this is a heads up for more problems in the air.

Probably the same missile that hit the Pentagon.
Or the "Tomahawk" missile that Jack "I'm a blithering idiot and raving loon" Cashill claimed his sooper-dooper-secret Navy source said hit TWA 800.

One was in Thailand, other was in the Philippines. Easy to google up. Being overseas neither got much publicity in the US.

Has this failure mode ever occurred on an aircraft other than TWA 800? Have the same conditions ever been present elsewhere? At least twice. In 1990 a Philippines Air 737 and a Thai Air 737 both had explosions in their center wing fuel tank, fortunately while on the ground.

That could have done it, maybe the 747 hit a wave crest instead, if it was that low.

There are way too many areas of knowledge where FR for some reason gets all of its information from WingNutDaily. Yes it's too bad everyone doesn't get their information from official Clinton Administration sources.
Can you believe these kooks can't accept the CIA theory of an airplane with it's nose blown off accelerating and climbing in level flight? What a bunch of crackpots, I tell you.

...Or the "Tomahawk" missile that Jack "I'm a blithering idiot and raving loon" Cashill claimed... Yeah, that was a real winner. I'm not sure the Navy could get a Tomahawk to hit an airplane in flight even if they WANTED to.

It always struck me as unusual that Boeing raced out and admitted that TWA flight 800 was their fault even before all the wreckage had been fished out of the water, or the NTSB had finished their investigation. It is my experience that airframe manufacturers never like to admit fault no matter how damning the evidence, and certainly they would not usually admit fault with litigation still pending. It never made sense that they would race out and shout it from the rooftops that this explosion was caused by a manufacturing defect and nothing more. I guess I’m too cynical to believe they just wanted the truth to be known. I suspect something else happened and Boeing and our government conspired to cover it up.

Hadn’t heard that before. That’s good to know.
Can you provide a link?

“system uses a state of the art catalyst design that converts the fuel vapor into an inert gas that is recycled back into the fuel tank.”
Hillbillies would use a heated exhaust converter and turn it into pollution (CO2).

spineless, yes - like most libs, they don’t want to acknowledge that there is a threat, because if they did, they’d be expected to DO something about it.
Better to come up with fake crises like global warming, racism, and “wealth disparity”.

Next they need to address the problems of fairies and gremlins taking down aircraft. A little digression from the thread - this reminds me of one of my favorite Looney Tunes episodes from the WW2 era: 'Falling Hare'.
Gremlin (hitting the nose of a bomb with a sledgehammer): 'Blockbuster bombs don't go off unless hit them jussssst right'
Bugs Bunny: 'Oh yeah?'
G: 'Yeah.'
BB (pondering for a moment): 'Hey Mac ... let me take a whack at it'
(Bugs then takes the sledgehammer, slides the Gremlin away with his foot. He then winds up to give the bomb a good ol' slam with the sledge, then ...)
BB: 'WHAT AM I DOIN'????'

Or, admit as evidence the testimonies of 150 eye witnesses and around half mention orange streaks originating from the ocean surface traveling upward, and then the fire balls.

Successful FAA Testing of Its Fuel Tank Safety System, to Prevent TWA 800 Type Explosions The best way to prevent TWA 800-type explosions is to kill Muslim extremists and deprive them of anti-aircraft missiles.
