Are you RomneyBOTs all ignorant?

RomneyCARE = HillaryCARE is socialized medicine,
and it has rocked Massachusetts in a negative way.

“Anyone who says it is socialized medicine is either ignorant of the plan”

Anyone who advocates a healthcare *plan* and calls themselves a free marketer needs to check their premises.

How strange the Romney supporters purport his critics dont understand economics,
when it is Romney who is a economic failure except when he steals from the federal gov't.

When tested, ie. when Romney was actually Governor (a period in time when he should be EXAMINED)
Myth Romney did poorly. Romney got a "C" rating from CATO. And that was BEFORE
Romney's Socialized medicine and coverup of the BIGdig kicked in. So the RomneyBOTs try to "spin history".
Note that Romney also betrayed President Bush as Governor
(and as TeamROMNEY would do later in Election2008 to Gov. Palin, and then the GOP),
because Romney was also against the conservative tax cuts (note this also again proves the RomneyBOTs wrong. No surprise there)

Here are the facts from CATO.

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

[Cato Institute annual Fiscal Policy Report Card - America's Governors, 2004.]

Romney = Economic Loser always requiring a Federal Bailout

Endorsement are, by and large, merely kind words from friends, or support from those who stand to gain by the candidate’s election. In short, they’re worthless. If you’re a rational and thoughful person, you’d pay more attention to what he does, and not what others say about him.

Apparetnly, the WSJ didn’t think it was a “conspiracy theory”

The Wall Stree Journal had an article on that: White Horse in the White House Will a Mormon candidate fulfill Joseph Smith’s prophecy?

The only reason he is trying to establish himself as a conservative is that if he ran on HIS record as Gov, he wouldn't stand a chance among conservatives.

Well... it WAS revealed and, sure enough, he DIDN'T do well among Conservatives.

(Although them UTAHANS went for him BIG time - musta NOT been his record...)

Only two types of people live in Mass...Ivory tower libs and those who CHOOSE to live in thier presence.

And the THIRD type: those would got elected Governor; once.

Governor Mitt Romney poses with a prototype of a one hundred dollar laptop in September 2005,
after filing a proposal to give every public middle and high school student in Massachusetts one of the machines.
The legislation did not pass.

Nice try.

As written it had potential, except for the mandate piece which alone should be enough, and is enough, for Conservatives to reject it, even if Reagan had written it himself. The boys and girls at Heritage should have known better, but even Hammerin’ Hank wiffed a ball or two.

But beyond that, anyone with their foot in reality knew that to even try and offer it up as actual real world legislation was to open the door to abuse and to give hold for socialized medicine

To be honest, for me, it was not really the legislation, (which was bad enough) that got me as much as the bad judgment on Romney's part to even try it in the current political environment.

Since when are conservatives against mandating personal responsibility?

Are you opposed to mandatory auto insurance? Are you opposed to cumpulsory schooling?

Seems to me you are more of a libertarian and not a conservative. The two are not equivalent.

Romney got a "C" rating from CATO.

Since when do conservatives regard CATO to be the arbiter of all truth?

Perhaps you are right.

Romney deserved an "F" for what he did to Massachusetts.

Hum, you have been here about as long as I have, must not read much of the posts and pages here though, but I digress.

Yes, I am opposed to the need for all mandates, as a conservative the idea of even needing to mandate responsibility is an anathema to us all.

However I am not ignorant of their need in a modern society in some cases since the failure of an individual to take responsibility can affect those who choose to do so. That is the case with auto insurance, but not necessarily health care which effects the irresponsible individual only.

A further point, the need in society to compensate for the irresponsible does not give license to embrace all mandates. Furhtermore reckless issuance of mandates can lead to reckless expenditure. That is one of the issues that happened with Romneycare.

You mention schooling though. You make my point. Compulsory schooling grew out of the same basic desire that this health care drive did. We see how that has turned out.

Now repeat that failure.

Thank you. Sometimes an editorial cartoon is worth a thousand
words exposing a fascist, chameleon like Mitt Romney.
