Now that Herman Cain is out of the Republican presidential race, we have officially kicked off the phase where everyone reflects on the ups and downs of his campaign. And on This Week today, George Will wasted no time in calling the ex-candidate disrespectful and a charlatan for using his candidacy to promote his book and not be a serious candidate bringing ideas to the table like everyone else.
Christiane Amanpour asked the panel if Rick Santorum had the best chance of getting more support in Iowa, particularly from Cain supporters. Will argued there was indeed room in the GOP race for a dark horse like Santorum whos been heavily involved in policy over the past few years to rise in the polls, but he was more concerned with the American political primary system and how its been hijacked by charlatans, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial charlatans. Amanpour asked if Will was specifically referring to Cain. Will stated he was.
Mr. Cain, who used this as a book tour, in a fundamentally disrespectful approach to the selection of presidents.
Will brought up another high-profile conservative celebrity, Donald Trump, and he clearly did not think highly of the Donald hosting a debate, saying its time for the candidates to do something presidential, stand up and say, were not going to be hijacked and participate in this. Arianna Huffington agreed, joking that Herman Cain might as well get his own reality show, given how much the rest of the presidential campaign has felt like one already.

Perry needs to dump Wills wife ASAP!
Ain’t it about time you retired, Georgino?
I tend to fiffle on pundits.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
A change in the status quo might mean fake voters in Philadelphia don't decide all close state elections. But Will would have none of it. For that, he's a moron, just like Rob Gleason, the state GOP chairman.
Remember when, about five minutes ago, George Will was the Conservative standard here for attacking Newt Gingrich.
LOL
Somehow I bet the prevailing opinion of George Will won’t be quite so high on this thread.
Cain did do a little too much book selling. But he was doomed by his amateur campaign, a past that for some reason he thought wouldn’t be brought up and the fact that he really didn’t know much about public policy.

George Will is the epitome of a duplicitous, snotty Beltway coward.
The Will’s are friends with the Romney’s and yet Will’s wife works in Governor Perry campaign.
Mr. Will has a wife?
Will does very little to hide his contempt for Social Conservatives.
He also regularly argues for our Presidents to be blue bloods.
He’s a globalist and wants globalist vetted leaders of the US. It a citizens of the world club. Herman came in off the street and crashed the party. They don’t like that. Too bad.
its time we ditch our "conservative" elites like Will and the others....they don't speak for me and probably most, which is why they'll remain in the media...
Shut up George and sit down.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

I remember when George Will used to make sense; to the degree that he was frequently quoted even by El Rushbo. But lately ol’ George sounds like a sarcastic, bitter old RINO. When did he turn into such a Richard Cranium?
Can. Not. Stand. George. Will.!
I’m sorry, George who? Just who is this guy and why is anybody paying him anything to get his opinion?
