I wonder how many of these whiners voted for Romney in the primary...
They had the opportunity to vote for someone ‘other than Romney’...
They now have screwed us, and themselves in the process...

"A vote for Mr. Goode is a vote for Obama. Sorry, but true.

You failed basic math, then?

"This is pratical poltics we’re talking about, not a CCD class."

So talking about principles is fine, but when it comes down to "practicality". toss them out? No, mine aren't that cheap. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I cast a vote for an abortionist/sodomite lover, and I know I wouldn't be able to face God. Your decision is your own, of course.

“We don’t cut off our noses to spite our faces.

We work TODAY toward a new, Tea style, conservative party for 2016. It takes years to get such a thing accomplished. Never will we be stuck with RINOs again.

But this doesn’t mean we can’t vote out the antiAmerican commie, even if we replace him with a normal liberal democrat. There is a difference.”

Thank you! This current thread is showing more than ever the growing divide on this site between those (like old Army Guy) who see the primary mission right now is to oust the current president, and those (like US Navy Vet) who are willing to allow the current president to continue breaking down our country.

Right now the “we hate GOP” threads are coming fast and furious around here(we can find those at any progressive site). Most of the discussion here on these issues has fallen into the absurd.

If you are NOT going to vote Mitt, FINE! Then are you going to support the constitutional party candidate? Or any other third party? If so why not start extolling the virtues of your chosen candidate? Work to gain support for that candidate (or party) rather than keep tearing down the only person who has a chance to stop the Obama express? I really would love to hear about third party candidates people are willing to support and why.

Also, any of you who think the convention will change the outcome of this process are only dreaming. It is what it is.

In the end all the “conservative” candidates any of you were pulling for WILL line up behind Mitt as the one to beat Obama (maybe not Uncle Ron). When that happens I’m sure we will get a lot of hate messages on them as well.

It’s interesting insight that this is what is tossed at conservatives who will not vote for Mitt. Says a lot about the mentality of those people, IMO. “Temper Tantrum”. Is that what they really think? Really? Losing it over nothing?

I guess it is true that for them, Mitt really can’t do anything wrong, they will vote for him no matter what. I bet Mitt could praise Obama (he did - “he’s a nice guy”) and still they’d vote for him. All I know is Obama’s core believes the same thing about him.

As if Mitt's picks will be any better.

Clement? Or is talk about him just a ruse?

Like I said, we disagree and I have read no persuasive argument on this particular thread to change my stance. Just folks accusing Conservatives of fault/guilt if Romney loses.

The future remains to be lived. Will not vote automatic Republican anymore.

Would like to see some persuasive argument that shows my error in voting for whichever President candidate I choose.

The GOP is dead.

It is beyond me why any Conservative would vote for a party that consistently works in tandem with the Dems against Conservatives?!

Why continue this charade?

What pathology is this? Battered wife syndrome?

A one party system of two Socialist parties. Time for a third party.

I look at things this way. I'm not interested in suicide missions or look at me things that go nowhere. It is, was, and always will be a two party system here with 3rd parties as a protest vote at best. New York's the only exception with the fusion system. No 3rd party is going to win a majority or plurality of anything anytime soon.

I'm a Republican because it's the best we got. Party leadership here is elected. IF 5% of those who complained got involved and worked to change things, things would get done. For all the people that complain about RINOs, people vote for them or don't run primaries against them. We had an absolutely awful one here in Joe Schwarz. He got fired. I helped do it. Tim Walberg is a good rep most of the time. I don't get 100% from him, but I get about 80-90%

I'm staying involved in party matters and doing my best to make sure good people are in leadership and good people win primaries. We got a long ways to go, but the Schwarzes and Millikens have been nobodies for a long time here. That's an improvement.

Dole and McCain did not campaign like they really wanted to win. That was totally clear to me in both of those elections. Dole perked up a LITTLE the last week but it was hardly enough. McCain never took the gloves off and told others not to either.

I really can’t see Mitt doing any different. Not when he keeps saying “Obama’s a nice guy”. That’s it right there. Gloves are staying on.

The Republican party is not the U. S. Army. Such loyalty to the Republican party has gotten us in this fix.

As long as people keep thinking like that, it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It's a one party (liberal) system with two faces. It's time for a conservative party.

Here’s your problem.

We are not asking for the “perfect” conservative candidate.

We are just asking for a “conservative” candidate however.

He needs to win his recall (and he will) first. He will be much stronger after this. And he needs some governing experience - at least one term - before going for the presidency.

“I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I cast a vote for an abortionist/sodomite lover, and I know I wouldn’t be able to face God. Your decision is your own, of course.”

I Peter 2:13-15
“Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.”

It would seem that according to Holy Scripture even Obama is an instrument of God. Perhaps God wants us involved with the process to change those rulers who have lost their way rather than allow them to continue? What if Mitt is God’s choice to overcome this latest assault on God given freedom? Maybe our own politics and agendas can get in the way of what God would want to do? Maybe stitting out is actually opposing God’s will? I’m not saying it is but it could be when one reflects on this passage.
