But Duke did write a (presumably quite large) settlement check to the 3 defendants.
That the Left learned nothing from the whole Duke incident is one of the lessons of the St. Trayvon / Jorge Zimmerman event.
The Trayvon Martin case proves for the umpteenth time that Big Lib Media cannot be trusted to tell the truth. In fact, this is another classic case of the half-truth. Lib media tells the country half the story and purposefully omits the finer details. Gullible libs eagerly lap up any story having to do with “racist” whites gunning down “innocent” blacks with reckless abandon. This meme hasn’t changed for forty or fifty years. But there is an unlimited supply of naive libs i.e. saps who are more than willing to believe the lies.
There is no doubt in my mind that this was a racially motivated murder.All that is necessary to put paid to this line of “reasoning” is to ask if it would be possible for the same thing to happen if the neighborhood watch captain had been black, or if the interloper had been hispanic. And the answer is yes, provided that the interloper had contempt for the rights of the people of the neighborhood, and felt entitled to snoop around in the dark of night without arousing the curiosity of the residents. Since the author of this sophomoric piece denies any possibility that a white person could be in the right when becoming suspicious of a stranger who didn’t appear to have any reason for wandering around as Mr. Martin did, the writer himself manifest the very contempt for the local residents which seems - pending any substantive new evidence - to have been in Mr. Martin.

I love it when 16 or 18 year olds write songs about eternal love.

This little boy hasn’t figured out that progress, American version, stopped in 1965 or so, and that we’ve been going backwards for more than 40 years.

Trayvon Martin did not deserve to die.
The writer lost me with that statement. The world would be a better place if all thuggish individuals of all races would be killed.
Stereotypes are simply the center of the bell curve but when your only defense is denial the term has to be vilified.
I guess if Winston Churchill's saying is true (anyone who's 20 and not a liberal has no heart, anyone who's 40 and not a conservative has no brain), then I was pretty heartless in high school.
Well, not until he finished killing Zimmerman at least. Then he may have had some 'splainin' to do.
The good news is: This ignorant child is only one or two beat-downs away from acquiring a realistic worldview.
