Im a pretty big fan of irony and juxtaposition. It doesnt get any better than a pro-gun rally at the Ohio Statehouse during the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Weekend.
Guns Across America is doing just that in several state capitols tomorrow.
According to the Facebook event page for Ohio, the groups intent is to have a peaceful demonstration to stop any and all future gun control legislation.
Because nothing says peaceful demonstration like walking around downtown Columbus with an assault weapon strapped to your back.
The organizers of the group are being very careful about public perception. There are many calls to very closely follow the law regarding concealed carry and open carry, not park in covered parking lots, not bring any Hitler signs, and my personal favorite be careful to prevent any accidental discharges. They also want people to not wear so much camo, because you know theyre not militant or anything. They just want to carry around AR-15s. Which begs the question: If youre walking around with an assault weapon strapped to your back will not wearing camouflage make you look any LESS militant?
The political optics for this couldnt be worse...

Trying to get a full name of the idiot poster... I have no Facebook account, any leads?
Whoever wrote this appears to have the IQ of a tomato plant........always in my humble opinion, of course.
Just found it ... Eric Vessels ... “I grew up in Kentucky, just south of Louisville. My political leanings were acquired by observing my grandparents who were jailer and matron of the Brandenburg, KY jail from 1960-1975. Mammy and Pappy were figures in the community and were never shy about voicing political views, arguing with my right leaning step-father for years.? Good natured of course!
Pappy would always watch Meet The Press on Sundays and I would have some idea that it was on and that it was incredibly boring. Once I commented to Mammy that it was boring and that I didnt get politics. She then said something that has stuck with me since: You better get politics or politics will get you. Im sure at the time I blew that off like any 8 year old would. But for some reason I have never forgotten it. Her words became prophetic as in 2004 I observed a 35 year old man whom politics had got. That is when I made the decision to get politics.
I debated on a highly ranked two man debate team in high school, went to West Point for a year and a half where I also debated mostly with myself over whether or not I should be there. After leaving I ended up in a career in the OEM automotive paint industry (big paint shops that paint cars), first as an expert in technical cleaning, then filtration management, and eventually as an independent consultant specializing in paint defect analysis. I am now a part owner and COO of an industry specific online news portal focusing on the commercial printing business.”
How is this for irony and juxtaposition ya putz...
It was the threat of guns that enforced civil rights, not any dreamy speech by MLK.
F@ck optics at this point. It is all-out ideological war with respect to our Second Amendment rights affirmed to us.
I really don’t give a crap what they think. If they were so distraught over possible violence to children, they’d stop the murderous carnage of abortion.
Washed out and didn't even make ring-knocker.

Here's Eric. Notice the shirt?
LOL
Kind of appropriate if you ask me considering the roots of gun control.
Even worse:
Fight to win: Americans must rally behind the president on guns

The name on the file for the pic you posted says "eric liam". Not sure it's the right one.
Whoever this Nancy-boy Eric is who wrote this piece is an ignoramous. MLK was both Republican and pro-2A.
Hey Eric, what is tone deaf about celebrating civil rights on MLK weekend????
What a dumbass.
Fair warning, I'm going to plagarize the tarnation out of that comment.
Man... young AND dumb.. hmm.. rhetoric?
Thank you for the link.. The pic is even worse.. the dimb/dumbot is holding a newborn.. :/
I NEVER saw the indoctrination when I was in school in West Texas.. I only had 1 Uni Prof. that was close (Angelo State Uni).. and it was the English Professor.. The History Professor was excellent, I asked for him again for my 3rd year of history (he even owned his own restaurant.. Tex-Mex food, man I miss it so much :p)..
The stuff I am reading recently, the past few years (which honestly feel like weeks), are terrifying.. (Yes, being from West Texas left me very naive..)..
Maybe “Liam” is his little baby?
You're right. The son's name is William Anthony but they are calling him "Liam". Why didn't they just name him Liam? Liberals are morons.
I was trying to find out how you traced "Eric" on the website to Eric Vessels.
