A crowd of people rallied against gun violence at the Georgia State Capitol in honor of Trayvon Martin Tuesday, the one year anniversary of his shooting death. Many of the protesters were speaking out against so-called “stand your ground” laws, which allow gun owners to use deadly force if they feel as if their lives are in danger.
During the rally, one female protester — wearing an Obama hat — told WGCL-TV that using a firearm in self-defense “is not an option.”
“It’s not an option,” she repeated.
The reporter then asked her, “But what if someone is trying to kill you?” She replied, “They’ll just have to kill me.”

I had a gun and it happened anyway.
Anyone who's being honest will tell you that being armed is far from being a guarantee against violent crime. It merely helps to even the odds. Even trained Soldiers are very likely to lose in a well-executed ambush.
I'm very sorry that happened to you.
Maybe an appeal to maternal instincts - my wife carries and would put down anyone who threatened us, our kids, or our friends and not blink until it was over.
That is her choice.
She might be a bit naive but self-preservation is by instinct and she would do what ever she could to protect her own life. Then of course, there are a lot of sheep in this flock.

The typical Obama voter loves abortion more than life itself. Loves "freedom" more than responsibility.But every Obama voter demands that ALL OTHERS live the way THEY want to die. (Er, live.)
And hitting that wide ass independent card carrying, government cheese eating Obama supporter would be a fairly easy.
I have no respect for her; she is both a coward and a hypocrite. I could respect her pacifism as a legitimate choice and value system were she intellectually and philosophically consistent in her pacifism, but her mere presence at this rally, taken to its logical conclusion indicates that she is perfectly willing to have government men with guns forcibly impose her pacificst values on others.
Quite the paradox, there.

I propose a compromise on the gun control issue. All those who support Obama should be forbidden to own any type of firearm for at least 10 years. Anyone who shares the guilt of putting the likes of Obama into the White House shouldn’t be anywhere near a gun.

I had a GF once who was like that until someone went after a family member with a machete.
After that incident she was not afraid anymore. One time at a light in the city a windshield washer approached the car and she did not see him but I did. He reached over to wash the windshield and she went for my 380 in the glove box.
I was watching the whole scenario unfold so I was able to avert disaster for us all.

I'd rather not have to do either. But if push comes to shove using my gun will win out over being murdered every time.
And just like every other liberal, she is not satisfied to make it a personal choice, she has to try to force her choice down the throats of the entire nation.
