The effort to normalize child sex continues:
"there is a growing conviction, notably in Canada, that paedophilia should probably be classified as a distinct sexual orientation, like heterosexuality or homosexuality. Two eminent researchers testified to that effect to a Canadian parliamentary commission last year, and the Harvard Mental Health Letter of July 2010 stated baldly that paedophilia “is a sexual orientation” and therefore “unlikely to change”.
Child protection agencies and many who work with sex offenders dislike this. “Broadly speaking, in the world of people who work with sex offenders here, [paedophilia] is learned behaviour,” says Donald Findlater, director of research and development at the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a charity dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse, and, before it closed, manager of leading treatment centre the Wolvercote Clinic. “There may be some vulnerabilities that could be genetic, but normally there are some significant events in a person’s life, a sexually abusive event, a bullying environment … I believe it is learned, and can be unlearned.”
Chris Wilson of Circles UK, which helps released offenders, also rejects the idea that paedophilia is a sexual orientation: “The roots of that desire for sex with a child lie in dysfunctional psychological issues to do with power, control, anger, emotional loneliness, isolation.”
If the complexity and divergence of professional opinion may have helped create today’s panic around paedophilia, a media obsession with the subject has done more: a sustained hue and cry exemplified by the News of the World’s notorious “name and shame” campaign in 2000, which brought mobs on to the streets to demonstrate against the presence of shadowy monsters in their midst.....

If we look to my own Norway, we find two things in *all* of the parties, from the “right” too the far left:
1. All parties have leftists and homosexuals at the top, particularly in the Party press.
2. All parties are working to get pedophilia, incest, bestiality and like deviations legalized.
Child porn, for example, is unfair to crack down on out of consideration of people who just “like small girls with small breasts”.
Norway, as a small sample of far-leftism is no different from the liberal mainstream in the US. In fact, you can see it as a perfect clone of the Obama administration, and the Obama administration does so too.
In all probability true. Of course, the similarity between the two conditions was used only a few years ago to discredit homosexuality. Today it's used to validate pedophilia.
Also a statement of fact. The similarity between this argument and the libertarian arguments for the decriminalization of drugs and many other traditionally illegal practices should make libertarians reconsider the limitations of libertarianism as a philosophy.
But it won't.
Yep and when I was born the US flag and Pledge of Allegiance were different than now by two stars and two words...
Just two things:
(1) No witness coaching by the prosecution. Know how many innocent dads have been accused of abuse by a vindictive ex?
(2) Want to give convicted child abusers the chair or lock them up for life? Fine with me as long as there is a law that applies that penalty. None of this "he's done the full sentence but now we are going to cook up some psychiatric reasons to keep him locked up" stuff.
Always feared this would be the inevitable next step.
The normalization of pedophilia will be compelete with the legalization of gay marriage, code for legal gay adoption, code for legal child rape.
Gay marriage has no other real purpose.
In the not too distant future, I’m sure the American Psychiatric Association will normalize every form of perversion. They will, however, identify conservatism a mental illness requiring forced hospitalization; for the good of society, of course.
Everything’s changing at an ever faster rate. As for this insult, I completely expected it.
Been watching this for a long time.
Abortion goes to infanticide, euthanasia and “right to die” then to “duty to die” and death panels.
Homosexuality leads to polygamy, pedophilia, and bestiality.
The progression, if not stopped when it begins, is inevitable.
