The Mayans could have saved themselves if only they had tens of trillions of dollars to spend!

So, that ancient practice of Mayan Shamans ‘removing’ still beating hearts from young slaves for the purpose of sacrifice had no effect on population totals?
Oh. Okay.

It seems that cacao was a major part of their means of transacting business. I wonder if the climate variations hurt their chocolate production. Could have been done in by a series of Chocolate Depressions.

I know the Aztecs did that. I’ve never heard about the Mayas. Yes they did human sacrifices but of the type the Aztecs did. Who did it an alosmt industrila scale. That’s why Cortes had so many Indian allies.

Fecal records show Maya population fell due to climate change that caused droughts and floodingThe climate change was probably caused by the huge carbon exhausts from the Mayan Moon Rockets they launched in the hot summer of 500 AD. That, along with the deforestation of the Cedars of Lebanon by the Romans. Those big plants were not there anymore to scrub "bad" CO₂ from the air.

Mayans fell because of their reliance on SUVs. Sacrifice of Unfortunate Victims.
