Pop singer Cyndi Lauper committed the great reductio ad Hitlerum sin this week when she said that GOP-led laws banning transgender surgeries on children are just like Adolph Hitler.
The “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” singer said Republicans pushing legislation that ban biological males from women’s sports, prevent children from undergoing gender “transitioning” surgery, and forces people to use the bathroom of their desired gender was similar to Nazis “weeding” people out.
“Equality for everybody, or nobody’s really equal,” Lauper told ITK. “This is how Hitler started, just weeding everybody out.” …

I would allow that perhaps Cyndi Lauper has gleaned some facts from history, just interpreted the facts wrongly and this has led her to some faulty conclusions. Yeah, something about Hitler was involved, but it was in SUPPORT of changing persons who had a nonconforming image of themselves, but as Dr. Josef Mengele demonstrated, some “volunteers” for various kinds of transformative medical treatment could yield surprising results. Of course, Dr. Mengele had a prison population to work with, and the present-day mutilators of children have to rely on guile and lulling the suspicions of the susceptible for a supply of lab rats for their experimentation.

The Nazis liked to perform horrendous experimental surgeries on Jewish prisoners. It’s equally horrendous to perform experimental surgeries on children.

Well, Hitler definitely didn’t invent it. However, he most definitely did object to international communists as he saw them as a tool of the Jews. Not religious Judaism, but secular Jews, who were quite numerous in the Russian communist party at the time. Of course he thought capitalism was also a tool of the Jews. Which left only Hitler and his fascist buddies I guess.
