As other articles note, contempt for irrational laws and more conservative youth are on the upswing. Seems to me those bode well for a stronger Libertarian party. Whether that means a future second party or not, we shall see. Just because things have always been thus does not mean they will remain so.

But all things come to those who wait.

I find it fascinating that there is such an outpouring of contempt for Libertarians on FreeRepublic (witness the next article). I'm not sure why. I feel like a Republican at Paul Wellstone's funeral on here sometimes.

I am not surprised to note that they want everybody to vote for THEIR guys, though. Piss on us all year, yet DEMAND we vote for a Pubbie, ANY Pubbie, come November. ..but ANYTIME someone mentions that they can't vote for a Republican Candidate (for whatever office) due to their beliefs...they keep getting told that they need to vote Republican...in order for the 'other guy' not to win.

Sure sounds like 'principles be damned' to me.

Maybe you need to take that old CTR ring out of the drawer and remember what it means.

"Principles" aren't all created equal.

For example, your fight for the "principle" of free drugs is not one that I share, nor can I imagine it being something for which the heroes of the American Revolution would have fought.

Now, if you want to talk about REAL principles, like those embodied in the Holy Bible--for which the heroes of the American Revolution DID fight--we might have a positive conversation.

Oh, and "CTR" stands for CHOOSE THE RIGHT.

Again, it doesn't mean "Choose whatever feels groovy to you, man." It stands for absolute values, not "to each his own."
