The maker of the Segway Human Transporter has agreed to recall the motorized scooters because riders have been injured falling off when its batteries are low. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Friday, saying that three people had been injured. One suffered a head wound and needed stitches.

I offer my profound apology. You seem like a great guy/girl who is kind and considerate of others who share your path/trail. I have met many who do not share your concern for others well being.

No, I do not like the idea of motorized vehicles on a recreational path, myself. But are we to deny Segway owners the same option as we have to enjoy the air and scenery just because they cannot walk long distances without assistance?

I am not in favor of allowing robust and healthy teenagers to scooter along the trail, as they can easily walk.

But, I do think some compromise could be met to allow older or handicapped people access to the trails. Perhaps they might be required to have a handicap sticker on the vehicle the same as when they park in a handicap spot?

Almost every one was "sold" to various governments (including, for example, every photo op here; and to the ATL airport, the HSA/TSA; etc.)

All hype. Almost all to get your tax money.

If you want to enjoy the path and can't walk, of course it is reasonable to use motorized wheelchairs or scooter obviously ment for such use.

They have always been good to see out on the path. I also have a blind friend I go out on a tandem bicycle with. He used to ride all the time when sighted, and I am well aware how much he loves to bicycle. I also have given many first bicycles to kids of friends and family because I remember well how much it ment to me as a five year old to get my first 20 inch wheeled two wheeler.

Kids particularly on the two stroke engined motorized scateboards can be heard a long way off, and to be passed by them as they weave as chose as they can - a common thing in most sckateboad behavior on the sidewalk - leaving you in a cloud of blue stinky smoke angers me quite abit.

I am forty nine and learned a long time ago that if you want respect, show it. Users of these new machines have yet to generally impress me at all. One has recently been run over and killed in next door Springfield darting out into the street as part of the circles he was racing around in.

They are being closely watched by city officials too. I predict a move to ban them in the next year now that you can get these things so cheaply at the big department stores.

As if anyone needed to be told that coffee is hot.

Long before this lawsuit I had noticed that McDonald's served their coffee much hotter than other fast food places. I had always assumed that it was prevent customers from draining the cup before they had finished their McMuffin and hash browns, cutting down on the number of free refills dispensed.

Wonder if the savings in second cups paid for the settlement?

Well, the coffee was always cold otherwise, and people would have complained about that.
So I guess that is the real deal.

"The context and tone of what you were replying to was snotty."

Are you saying that your post was snotty since that is what I was replying to.

"Besides that, you did not bother looking to see what else was said."

Actually I did as I have already stated.

"I do try to make a habit of checking to see what else was said."

ROFL.

You can't even post a response to me without missing what I just stated.

"If you actually DID read the thread backwards, you'd see that this was already addressed"

ROFL.

What was addressed? You don't even know *why* I asked a simple question.

", and it IS relevant."

What are you babbling about?

"That proves that you are trolling for a fight.
Nice try."

Actually, you're the one that is looking for a fight. I asked a simple question that I expected a simple answer.

You could have said:

(1) 300 F is probably too hot to not expect some McDonald's to take some responsibility.

or

(2) 300 F is not too hot to expect a reasonable person to take total responsibility for their actions.

It's really a question of degree vs. kind that I was seeking your feedback on. Remember this whole thread has to do with the Segay. Remember?

"Get lost."

Try boosting the meds...

You need valium?
Try some Demerol with Albuterol Sulfate to help your breathing.
You'll be amazed at the results.

What's funny is that I probably agree with your stance on this issue. Unfortunately, your paranioa and distorted view of the world prevents you from even considering this.

If you agree, the way you stated it lacked tact.

No problems breathing here. You seem to be ranting about something but I can barely understand it so why would I get upset?

However, based on your broken syntax and other clues, you obviously are having some issues. Just relax. Try reading others posts before jumping to conclusions. A simple question should *not* elicit such a negative response, especially if I've never responded to any of your other posts.

I never meant to say I agreed with you. I asked you a question to see if I agreed. That is why I asked the question.

I've read it through (repeating this for the third time).

So, what is the answer to my question?

Degree or kind?

Funny, you're starting to act trollish again.
And for a few seconds, you started acting like an intelligent person with an honest debate to do.

Yawn...

Try thinking about what I just stated up above. I never meant to agree with you until I received an answer my question. It's quite simple really.

Here's a hint. Try relating this discussion on McDonald's coffee to the Segway. For extra credit do it without engaging in ad hominum.

Here's a hint, you got off on this tangent LONG after the discussion of such was way over.
Now you're trying to create a problem.
Do go troll elsewhere if you don't want to debate.
