Demand a Joint Congressional Resolution Censuring Ted Kennedy re: Saddam Prisons/US Management
Ted Kennedy has finally crossed the line, and it is time to take mass action once and for all. Here is is statement:
"Shamefully we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management, U.S. management." -- Ted Kennedy
This, despite what the Iraqis did to Nick Berg, arguably encouraged by the likes of Kennedy. Enough is enough, and the time for action is well overdue.
Senator Inhofe had this to say:
"I'm outraged that the Europeans and the left in this country don't understand the consequences of this War. I'm outraged that Teddy Kennedy compares our troops to Saddam Hussein. I'm outraged that Senators Levin and Dayton use the depravity of some bad apples to suggest "systemic" and "pervasive" abuse in our military, tarring the over 300,000 young men and women who have fought honorably for us in Iraq." -- James Inhofe
It is time to demand a formal, bicameral censure of Senator Kennedy for his outrageous, inappropriate, treasonous, statements that give aid and comfort to the enemy, tar the US Military -- and all for mere political gain.
A Censure [yes, that is how you spell it] is a formal reprimand by resolution -- and it carries more weight and is more significant than it sounds. The last censure issued was of Joe McCarthy. However, there has never been a bicameral censure by both houses (by joint resolution). But this is what is necessary, and this is what Kennedy must receive.
We are calling on all freepers who are enraged and have had enough to take action. Also, tell all your friends and family to do the same.
Get the contact info for your Senators and Congressmen by clicking here.
Please call, email, and fax them demanding a Joint Congressional Resolution Censuring Ted Kennedy.
You can fax for free by following these instructions:
1. Click HERE.
2. Enter the fax number in the window as follows (it must read exactly like this): +1-202-xxx-xxxx
Replace the "Xs" with the last five digits of the Washington DC office you are faxing.
For example: Chucky Schumer's DC fax is 202-228-3027. So, you would put it in this way: +1-202-228-3027
Got it.
Now hop to it. Please do this, and please encourage all you know to do the same.
Jmstein7 and Mich0127 thank you. We are so personally outraged that we are taking a study break from finals to do this.

He will skate out of this latest stupidity just as he swam out of that Oldsmobile and left the woman to drown.

Yes, he will -- if people like you simply make statements like that and leave it at that, without al least taking action.
Please, just do this.

If your Senator is a partisan Dem, fax/call Inhofe's office instead of your senator.
If your Congressman is a partisan Dem, fax/call Tom Delay's office instead.

He is outrageous. But his party tolerates him. Anything to win. Even in time of war. Debate and dissent are one thing, this BS is another kettle of fish entirely.
Was there a Saddam-Osama link? Maybe. Frankly, I'm beginning to wonder more about a DNC-Osama link!
I would never have said something as insulting as that three months ago. But look where the Dems have pushed me now.
The backlash is coming, believe me.

Done. Senators Hagel (RINO) and Nelson have heard from this member of the Nebraska peanut gallery. Hagel is a disgrace and Nelson can best be described as a nice guy who is in over his head.

So am I -- NY. Since I can't call my Senator, I called the Majority Leader's office.
What I did instead was to call the Majority Leader's office.
Call this number, 202-224-3344, and then ask to be transfered to the Majority Leader's Office. If you get the machine, leave a message.

I'm sorry, but until the call for action contains what really needs to happen to ted kennedy, I'm not going to lift a finger to give this living POS one more reason to crow... remaining comments self censored.

Ted Kennedy is a walking violation of all the laws of nature. An atavistic throw-back. And to the FReeper who pasted in that pic (on another thread) of Teddy stalking by a half-submerged Oldsmobile, ala BIGFOOT video? Thanks alot! I damned near choked on my pizza!

Im just glad i don't live in Sander Levins district. Talk about a double whammy. Representative levin calling for censure of senator Levin isn't very likely.

Won't happen. Many Americans worship and adore EMK and would rise up in strong opposition to any censure resolution against the beloved MA senator.
