Before I get any furthur down the thread, are YOU the author of this crap? It might make a difference, because if you are, I see a ZOT in your very near future. If you're not, then I suggest you make that very clear, and give some explanation as to why you saw fit to post this. Do you have any idea how many true blue southerners post on FR? You've been here long enough to know better.

You know you are a redneck when sarcasm eludes you.

Many rednecks use the </sarcasm> tag to make sure people know. You might want to try that.

There are better reasons to get your dander up.

Don't need a reason, I'm always ready to smack a punk. I'd love to leave wimps like him/her/it (papertiger) in the swamp overnight just to find them curled up in ball crying a little baby. Or, maybe I wouldn't bother finding them.

I know this little creep is a little left wing lurker. Those little punks wouldn't dare look me in the eye and tell me that kinda stuff. It's kinda hard for them to look me in the eye, when a knuckle is in their eye. By the way, My uncle used to fly the B58 and I work where they were made.

Take a breath.

If little punks like you just want to throw insults around and not contribute anything to a conversation, then you ought get out of here.

Don't you mean "subjective" mood? And we're ALL in our pajamas, of course.

The North "may" have given up slavery by 1800 but they kept racism alive for centuries afterwards.

"The teacher responded with a firm defense of her base of thunk on the south by explaining that she drove thru it once on the way to Florida! I kid you not.........."

Just like when Al Gore claimed to understand the concerns of dairy farmers in Wisconsin because he visited one once.

Kinda like Meryl Streep lobbying for the plight of farmers cause she played one in a movie once. How about Susan Sarandon as a pitching coach because she hones the players thru sexual accuity? Martin Sheen as a presidential advisor because he knows the charicter?

A little clarification:

Muscadines are a rich dark purple.(also referred to as bullis?)
Scuppernongs are of a golden hue.

They both exist in regions the South in great abundance.

Doing great. The new job is keeping me busy so I don't get to be here as much as I used to.

You're most welcome for the bumper sticker.

About the author Mark Gelbart: I've written a novel entitled Talk Radio. I'm still looking for a publisher.

Is it written on an etch- a- sketch?

You would be surprised at the changes to downtown. Downtown has really recovered and looks really nice.

I guess I would need a time frame to catch you up on the changes since you left Augusta.

I have some friends there that I went to see, must have been about 3 years ago. There were a lot of changes, but I could still find my way around fairly easily. There was a new bypass there out near Martinez that threw me off a bit. That whole area has built up a lot.

Augusta is now the second largest city in GA. Downtown went the way of most inner cities for a while. But it has made a huge recovery. There are many new businesses downtown.

I think it will recover very nicely. There are big changes in the works for entertainment and sports.

The CSRA has done well during the recession. And beside the inner city dims, this area is very Republican. Our county center is on Ronald Regan Way. It does give great messages for the few dims in our county.

Well, I avoided the downtown area even when I lived there. I'm just not that much of a people person....at least not people concentrated in one place. I'm not into cities. Whem I lived in Augusta, it was out (is it highway 50?) south, out in the country...past Tobacco Rd. and the paper mill.
