He's a GOOD Man, That's Why!

This is basically about President George W. Bush. He was just another in a long line of votes for me that was the lesser of two evils. I didn't dislike him as much as the other guy.

I first voted for President in 1972. Voted for Richard Nixon, mainly because McGovern was such a weenie, and I hated the idea of America retreating from Vietnam, I felt it would be easily winnable if the restrictions on our troops were removed. Maybe things would have been different, but the media hated Nixon and looked for reasons to take him down. He had deflected for the first 4 years but let his guard down after 1972, I guess due to the "Peace Talks", the anti-war movement and the "John Kerry-types" he had to deal with. I'd still vote for him, if he were alive and running.

In 1976, I was an angry, unemployed young college grad living in the city told to "Drop Dead" by President Gerald Ford, so I voted for Mr. Peanut. Man, do I regret that! I accepted the lies of the media about Ford, as well as the buffoon-like portrayal of him on Saturday night live (which did get very tedious). But in those days, I "inhaled", a lot, and it tempered my opinion as well.

Sobered up in 1980, I grudgingly voted for Reagan, because Carter was such an ass. Ditto in 1984, replace Carter with Mondale. Reagan took down the wall! I never, ever thought I'd see that in my lifetime. I was teaching in a high school at that time, and I remember "waxing poetic" to a Social Studies class that day about it. Three weeks later, one of my students brought me a piece of the wall, given to him by his aunt who had been over there, it's one of the finest and most thoughtful gifts I ever received and I still have it. Reagan wasn't always my favorite, but he was a great President.

Michael Dukakis in 1988 was not an option, but I didn't really like George H. W. Bush's CIA connection, However, Dukakis was a fool, and a clown, so hello, Bush 41! I was on a roll: 5 straight winners in the Presidential elections!

Then in 1992, Bush 41 seemed to lose interest in reelection, or perhaps he underestimated the power of Bubba and his spin machine. At any rate, The Rat from Little Rock moved into the White House, with his terminally ambitious wife and his Mafia-like followers. (Apologies to the real Mafia, you have honor and some ethics.) The only way he got elected was because of the psychotic midget from Texas, Perot, who hated Bush with a passion and simply wanted to prevent him from winning.

In 1996, distinguished statesman, war hero and disabled veteran Bob Dole was my choice, but not America's, with a little help from Perot and a lot of help from a rudderless message and platform: 4 more Slick Willie years.

In 2000, George W. did not impress me, but algore, Al Bore, call him what you will, impressed me less than McGovern. In a remarkably close election, and one marked by voting irregularities throughout the country, we had a Bush 43.

The Left wing squawked long and loud , claiming the election was stolen from them, that Gore had the Popular vote, he did, and that should be the deciding factor. But, no, the election stood, and various recounts show that it was a fair election and the results were as they should be.

The constant whining quieted to a dull roar through the inauguration in January 2001, followed by what is usually a "grace period" for the next 6 months or so. The economy was a little cranky, due to the demise of the "Dot Commers", all the rich successful Internet millionaires had their bubble burst, throwing a lot of people out of work, but there were no real bumps in the road.

Until September 11, 2001, when everything changed.

There is no need to recap here that horrible day, the day that changed America, possibly the world, forever. This day was when I realized how lucky we were to have George W. Bush as our president. The man was a rock, our rock; he helped us to focus, to catch our breath, he gave us strength because of his demeanor and his resoluteness.

He was totally Presidential.

He looked at the situation and began to plan for rebuilding and revenge, and the revenge took the form of a plan to destroy ALL terrorism, from the planner to the bomber, to find the "Enabler", those with the money or munitions or sanctuary, whatever is considered as giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

George W. Bush as the War Leader is a role he has adapted to quite well. If some people would look beyond their hatred of him, for foolish reasons like the vote problem in Florida, Gay rights, Partial Birth Abortions, Stem Cell Research, and all the other special interest agendas. Actually HATE does not seem strong enough to explain the psychotic behavior of his opponents, there is a general "Anti-Bush Hysteria" to be found within the political left, and they are all foolish, selfish bastards.

There is only ONE agenda that matters, the War on Terrorism, now being fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, most prominently. The War also includes Homeland Security, and a resolution to end the hostilities in Israel. If this is not resolved NONE of the other agendas matter: we will be destroyed, as will most of Western and non-Islamic civilization, and if you are a survivor, being Gay will not matter, you'll be dead; Abortion won't matter either, you'll be dead for having sex outside marriage (only the women need to worry); Voting will not be an option nor will the economy; and stem cell research will be forgotten. See, no more to worry about.

G.W. Bush knows what he's doing, and he's doing it for the "Right Reason". He's a good, honest man, a loving father, supportive husband and a hardworking President.

He has kept us going for the past 3 years, regardless of the mistruths, untruths and out and out lies told by the opposition.

Watch him as a man, he has an easy manner, a ready smile, he has compassion and there is concern in his eyes for the victims and their families, for the fallen soldiers and their families.

He has the toughest job in the world, and it got tougher when he had to send American soldiers into combat, to be wounded and killed, and he has done admirably.

This past year I became a "W" Fan, he's the first president that I can truly commit to (75%), primarily due to the qualities I've listed, the other 25% is related to the absolute dislike and mistrust that I now have for ALL members of the opposing party, especially because of the way they have attacked and tried to undermine this good man.

I really hope that lot of Americans feel the same way, because George W. Bush is the ONLY hope to win the War against Terror.

Also, he's killed THOUSANDS of Muslims!! Kerry doesn't have the spine for the necessary killings that must take place to win WWIV.
