I am consistently amazed that THESE are the people that threaten violence. I've been informed numerous times by their like that a "civil war" is on the way because, because, well I'm not really sure. I think it has something to do with me being at work at 5:00am, paying my bills and owning a home.

That's just so wrong on so many levels.

All this paranoia about presidents is getting out of control. Everything from media censorship to now personal censorship by the Secret Service... It's just going way out of proportion. At the book store we had Jimmy Carter signing his books and there were, like, 10 SS men around him. All of them were nice, but still. I was careened out just being around them...and they had a REASON to be there.

Being in your home and writing on your LJ (a free community) shouldn't place you in the FBI files for speaking your mind in this supposedly FREE TO SPEAK country of ours...

I'm no lawyer, or law enforcement official.

But some volunteer work with a non-profit organization, we've needed to talk with our PD about verbal threats of violence against us.

They were very clear that a verbal threat of violence constitutes the felony of terrorist threat.

Thaat is the "crime" in question here.
