Poll question: If the election was fixed, is it possible that the Dem primaries were too?

Namely the Iowa vote, which was just so far out there that it caught many of us off guard... Things that make you go... hmmm...

Poll result (77 votes)
Yes, the Dem primaries were fixed (50 votes, 65%) Vote
No, the Dem primaries were NOT fixed. Don't be ridiculous! (18 votes, 23%) Vote
I don't know (8 votes, 10%) Vote
Other (1 votes, 1%) Vote

This is probably the most reasonable thing that's ever come out of DU. Do you really think the Rats wouldn't rig the primaries?

What Democratic candidate did they think could possibly win?

I'll agree that the Dean Scream was over-played big time, but Dean wasn't viable to the majority of voters anyway. Edwards was Kerry's VP running mate and he couldn't even carry his own North Carolina precinct. They really didn't have anyone.

Exactly. Why do they start in Iowa with a caucus and not an election. They let the guy they want look like he won something.

The Dem primaries are fixed, though not in a way that was ever intended. The blandest candidate with the most money always wins, unless there's a candidate with good blackmail material and a private goon squad available.

No no, the Dem Primaries were supposed to have been rigged by Karl Rove because he was afraid of Howard Dean, no fooling.

If anything should be "fixed" it is the DUmmies, themselves.
We don't need any more diapercrats on the loose.

They just don't get it.

The people who can really explain America are it's humorists (Twain, Will Rogers, PJ O'Rourke)

In that line, Dave Letterman Late Show PRA, 19 January 2004.

“The Iowa caucuses involve a four step process that begins as voters arrive at designated sites in each of Iowa’s 1,993 precincts. Next, groups are formed according to candidate preference. These groups are then counted to appoint delegates, who attend the county convention that will eventually help select the Democratic presidential nominee. And finally, that nominee loses to Bush in a landslide. The Iowa caucuses, working for you.”

let me get this right: the democrats fixed their own primaries or else a "perfect rovian storm" took over democratic primaries before going on to take over the country? makes perfect sense in my reality too!

It's amusing, all very much so.

As of circa 10:30 this morning (Tuesday morning, central time), the DUmmies are castigating.....Bill Clinton.

Geezuz, God wouldn't even satisfy these DUmmies.
