He did indeed. I love both FR and Hannity, but Sean, a good piece of advice: don't condemn all of FR because of a few posters. It is a great resource which, like you and your TV/radio shows, can work wonders. If you keep bashing FR, Sean, I may consider listening to you less

Oh good--I missed that. I try to hear all of his show but he must have said it when I wasn't listening!
I'm not a fan of Hannity's, but I understand his point. He's a very public figure whom the MSM would love to tear down because he's a conservative. JimRob does the best he can to ferret out the kooks, but he can't get them all. Plus, you know that if the MSM has a choice between interpreting something reasonably, and interpreting it in a way that made FR look badly, they're going to choose the latter.
For a public figure like Hannity, he has to be concerned about attempts to smear his reputation. If he posted here, or admitted he was a member or something, he'd be (unfairly) tagged as associating himself with the kooks. So I can see why he made the statement he did. Probably read some kooky stuff, and thought that he couldn't afford to be associated with it.
I agree. Me thinks his elitist ego took over & he conviently forgot the (God given) gifts he received that got him to where is is.

I like hannity. but I think he's crossed the line and is biting the hands that have helped him. I think we should ask for mhking or someone to talk to him personally. either on his radio show or tv.
One thing I have to give Sean credit for: his ability to speak to the college crowd and win them over to conservativism is unmatched by anyone else on the conservative side.
For that, I feel that I and others should back off from comments about his shallowness (which I have made, no doubt). He's playing to a different crowd and it's an important crowd to win over. His idea of creating an organization that exposes bully liberalism in faculty of universities and colleges is an important one, and he's the one to further that idea.
So I take it back. You're a great American, Sean. Go for it and good luck.

I agree, and besides that his voice is so obnoxious. And he has a very condescending look about him.
I hear you. I've been too harsh on him also. I'm not crazy about all the "Great American" accolades. I'll just wait for the history books to be written. But Sean has had a very good effect on the younger people as you say. Good.
On another note, I was watching him for a few minutes down at Daytona tonight on his show. He was in more casual clothing and his hair was more casual. As a 58 year old married guy (30 years)........ I can say those girls are right, Sean is soooooo cute. ;-)
He looks a lot better when he's in the casual dress.

Sean had a low opinion of FreeRepublic way before he ever tried to promote his website.
