Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu Refuses to Criticize Democrats for Katrina Debacle… All Bush’s fault!”

“Now is not the time for finger-pointing. Now is the time to rebuild.”

These were the words of Senator Mary Landrieu (D- Louisiana) during an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. But this was in stark contrast to statements made by the Senator on the floor of the Senate decrying the federal response to Hurricane Katrina.

They gambled that no one would notice if Louisiana's critical and vital role in our national economy was threatened. And Washington rolled the dice and Louisiana lost.”

Senator Landrieu, in full spin mode, refused to apply the same critical eye on fellow Democrats elected at the state and local levels.

There's your gal..

I'm still too infuriated by what I saw and heard of her on FNS yesterday to comment coherently, but my thoughts run along the lines of doing to her what she threatened to do to our PResident.

If it was so vital, why didn't the Dem leadership of the State, move to protect it's citizens, interests and industries?

And her only job was to Protect Louisiana. She was elected by Louisiana, not the rest of the country. Ms. Landrieu, where is your culpability in the failure of the state you were elected to represent, to implement and come to the aid of it's citizens?

DumRats rarely say anything of substance. But they are damn good at manipulating words. Their ability to create these slogans and one liners is necessary because anything too deep or thoughtful will not be understood by their ignorant constituency.

I am thinking of all those billions of federal (tax) dollars in aid that will be wasted by the likes of Landrieu and her ilk in the "rebuilding" of NO and LA.

Much of it will be wasted and will end up in the pockets of her supporters.

She's also a racist for not supporting school vouchers; she had the gall to tell a black woman in DC who questioned why her kids can't attend the same fine schools Landrieu's kids attend, that (paraphase), "You can't afford to send your kids to where my kids go to school."

Total patronizing, liberal racist that needs to keep the blacks in their place so that she can get the dependency vote.

It was in stark contrast to what she said immediately 5 seconds prior and 5 seconds after, that statement on FNS.

When is she resigning?

These crummy elected officials from these almost third world states should be drawn and quartered for their malfeasance, these poor people living in this poverty and decay have little hope of ever escaping from abject poverty ,

just maybe this storm was a God Send and they have been set free at last!

Let us see if these JUDAS goats are ever reelected to office ?

Please allow me one rant, my first post since the hurricane. I am one of the fortunate ones who evacuated and upon return discovered I hadn't lost anything except a few shingles.

But, I am tired, I am weary, and can't believe officials are politicizing this matter. It makes me sick. People are dead, no one but their familes mourn because everyone else is obsessed with getting their $2000 FEMA debit card and free foodstamps.

But,at least I don't have to mourn for New Orleans, it was already dead, from years of neglect and the effects of cronyism.

As a government worker, I can tell you that we are doing everything we can and not even touching it.

self pity off - fire away

Glad to hear you escaped any major damage to your home. I undestand your feelings about all. Many in my family live in LA. One in Slidell lost a beautiful home but everyone else was ok.
Do you think the citizens are finally getting fed up with the corruption or will this pass?
