Semi-News: Obama Blasts Bush
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | Sep 23, 2005 | John Semmens

Posted on 09/23/2005 8:29:52 PM PDT by John Semmens

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) addressed the 35th annual legislative conference of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, a non-profit group that lobbies the 43 black members of Congress and others to enact legislation for social, economic and educational development.

"Generation after generation of inner-city blacks have been stuck in a cycle of poverty and crime," said Obama. "For this I blame President Bush."

"Sure, the government provides homes for poor blacks, but they're only apartments," complained Obama. "These homes have cable TV, but it's only basic cable. The government gives them food stamps, but we let them waste them on junk food or trade them for liquor and cigarettes."

"These wretched conditions lead too many blacks to hopeless lives of crime and substance abuse," Obama continued. "Shamefully, most of the crimes are committed against other blacks. We need a program to more equitably distribute the victimization to non-minorities and upper-class neighborhoods."

Obama urged conference attendees to get behind his "Crime Equalization Act" -- legislation that would provide funding to disperse some of the worst criminal elements currently concentrated in minority neighborhoods more evenly across the nation.

Bush fault obviously. Obama/Osama (in swimmer Teddy Kennedy's own words) says: "Generation after generation of inner-city blacks have been stuck in a cycle of poverty and crime," said Obama. "For this I blame President Bush."

Buh has been ruling generation after generation......he is responsible for the plight of the blacks on the slave ships too. /sarcasm

"Generation after generation of inner-city blacks have been stuck in a cycle of poverty and crime," said Obama. "For this I blame President Bush."

If only we could pass a constitutional amendment to keep presidents from serving for generations, then maybe this kind of thing wouldn't happen.

Wait, you mean Bush hasn't been president for generations? Then how could he be responsible for blacks being stuck in poverty for generations?

But what HAS been going on for generations is the war on poverty. It's time to declare victory and pull out, before the phrase "we had to burn the village to save it" becomes "we had to destroy the poor to save them".

Seriously, how stupid can you be and still be a senator? How could anybody take a senator seriously who blames GENERATIONS of poverty on a guy who was president for 5 years?

I think we should all feel bad for Osama Obama, and send him e-mails to help him out on this one.

Osama Obama is heard from making as much sense as a white guy passing for black and a made member of the Daley crime machine.

Hey Osama Obama, why not blame the liberals who have addicted inner city blacks to government handouts?? The government check has replaced the father .... and that check is a horrible father.

He is drinking the same koolaid now that he is in the "club". Looking back, the whole Congressional Black Caucus event makes the Wellstone Memorial seem classy in comparison.

Charlie Rangel was by far the worst, he even compared the President to the DEMOCRAT Racist that turned the Fire Hoses on Martin Luther King's peaceful demonstrators in the South

Not even slightly. It is hardly "satire" when the elements bear no hyperbole.

Is this a joke?

This article might be a joke but it wouldn't be a stretch for Obama to make these ridiculous claims.I like the next article that rips those who stand against voters showing photo Id before they can vote.

The article isn't funny. What is funny is that millions of severly stupid people will beleive it. What's even funnier is that Osama Obama stupid enough to say something so incredibly dumb.

We really need an exit strategy in the war on poverty, and giving cash to lazy asses for generation after generation is just keeping the poor on the plantation. Think of them as paid voters for the Demoncrat party.

At least we both agree that it is bad satire, even if we disagree about what makes it bad.

"Generation after generation of inner-city blacks have been stuck in a cycle of poverty and crime," said Obama. "For this I blame President Bush."

There is no merit an anything he says. I have a simple question regarding the whole issue that I think proves this.

How can first generation immigrants from Mexico, Cuba, Asia and real Africans from Africa all manage to do so much better than multiple generations of inner-city blacks in America?

This article's chock full of goodies:

"...legislation that would provide funding to disperse some of the worst criminal elements currently concentrated in minority neighborhoods more evenly across the nation."

So Obama wants to move the criminals out of the inner city and into more affluent neighborhoods? Is the government going to give them houses and satellite dishes so they don't have to suffer in subsidised apartments with basic cable subscriptions?

This one was my favorite...

Call for Voter Photo IDs Riles Democrats

“These are traditionally Democratic constituencies,” said Cong. John Lewis, (D-Ga). “Imposing onerous ID requirements is a Republican ploy to suppress the Democratic voter turnout.” Lewis cited a recent poll showing that 84 percent of illegal aliens would forego voting if they were required to show a photo ID."

Ahem. 'nuff said.
