U.S. Immigration Deporting Imam
Conservative Thoughts ^ | November 25, 2005 | John Kuethe

In a move that will be likely be seen as a blow to the ACLU while making conservatives feel more confident about homeland security, federal authorities arrested an Islamic religious leader Friday. Imam Fawaz Damra, the spiritual leader of Ohio's largest mosque, was convicted in June 2004 of concealing ties to three groups that the U.S. government classifies as terrorist organizations when he applied for U.S. citizenship in 1994.

That conviction was upheld in March, clearing the way for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to begin deportation proceedings. Federal Authorities have now begun the process of deporting him for his ties to terrorist groups.

As a conservative I feel reassured at this news and hope this proactive approach to national security continues. It has become common knowledge that islamo fascist terrorists have become very comfortable with our politically correct society and have found it very easy to exploit. Whether it is for visas or driver’s licenses, they know that we will not racially profile them or inquire into their background because the ACLU will protect them.

Perhaps the tide is turning on the political correctness that has handcuffed our law enforcement agencies. When we are at war with islamo fascism it makes sense to keep an eye on our enemy at home as well as abroad. For those who think there are no islamo fascist facilitators in this nation as we speak . . . put the pipe down.

I don't see this problem going away with the deportation of one mohammedan. We've got what; another 4,999,999 to go? Better pick up the pace. They're nothing but trouble, everywhere in the world. When their own countries adopt civilized, representative governments, and they reform their religion (yea sure), then maybe, just maybe, they should be allowed into the U.S.A. However, I think I'm 15 years too late....

I am sure the ACLU will block it.

I wonder if it is possible to get ACLU member listings for the various parts of the country....

These folks have finally risen above the horizon, and bear watching and tracking.....

They've become one with the enemy.
