NEA Goes All Out For Homosexuality, But Protects Student/Teacher Sex

By J. Grant Swank
Jul 25, 2006

"That NEA advocates for the inclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender issues in the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education teacher education program review process."

That was recommended at the NEA meeting in Orlando. That means that the NEA "recommends that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues be required content for teacher credentialing," according to AFA Action Alert.

Further, NEA had no doubts about its endorsement of homosexual nuptials and adoptions wherever approved by law.

According to BP: "During the June 29-July 5 meeting in Orlando, Fla., the NEA amended its B-10 resolution on 'racism, sexism, sexual orientation and gender identification discrimination' which said in part, 'Discrimination and stereotyping based on such factors as race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, disability, ethnicity, immigration status, occupation and religion must be eliminated,' by adding the following paragraph:

""The Association also believes that these factors should not affect the legal rights and obligations of the partners in a legally recognized domestic partnership, civil union, or marriage in regard to matters involving the other partner, such as medical decisions, taxes, inheritance, adoption, and immigration.'

"Currently, seven states have some form of legal recognition for homosexual couples. Massachusetts allows 'gay marriage,' Vermont and Connecticut have civil unions, California has domestic partnerships, and the District of Columbia, Maine, New Jersey and Hawaii have laws that grant same-sex couples at least some of the legal benefits of marriage."

In addition, the NEA took out the term "tolerance" regarding homosexuality and supplied "acceptance and respect" concerning such alliances. "The author of New Business Item 52 used this rationale: 'We should teach acceptance and respect, not tolerance, of those who are different from us wherever appropriate.'"

What is particularly frightening in the light of teachers molesting students today is that NEA would not pass an amendment setting forth protection of pupils from "sexual misconduct by teachers."

"The amendment read 'To protect the rights of all students, the Association believes sexual contact between education professionals and minor students is unacceptable.'

The NEA refused to pass the amendment. Many feel that the NEA refused to pass the amendment in order to protect teachers who have sex with students."

Can somebody tell me what a "Transgender" is?

Is that somebody who has an operation to change his or her external genitals? Or is it a man who dresses as a woman, or vice versa? I just am never sure who the transgendered community is.

I miss the old days when children actually went to school to learn how to read and write

Today????

Many teachers have been molesting students for YEARS and when caught are just transferred to other schools

But you'll never hear any outrage from the media about that because the NEA protects them

Nice to see that the union which supposedly represents me is so interested in encouraging literacy, improving reading scores on standardized tests, rewarding teachers for academic success in the classroom, and providing the best research in learning and teaching so I can do a better job.

Instead of those goals, my union is telling me that I have spit in the face of the majority of my parents and my community by adopting a narrow ideological viewpoint about personal sexual behavior that best belongs behind closed doors in the privacy of someone's home. I would say the same thing about any sexual behavior or activity, by the way. My plate is full just trying to teach reading and writing.

Seeing news stories such as this one tell me why the public thinks most teachers are liberal dilettantes. Speaking as someone inside the monkey house, however, a lot of us are going back to our real jobs and ignore the union, let alone waste valuable time focusing on accepting homosexuality.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Transgender is an overarching term applied to a variety of individuals, behaviors, and groups involving tendencies that diverge from the normative gender role (woman or man) commonly, but not always, assigned at birth, as well as the role traditionally held by society.

Transgender is the state of one's "gender identity" (self-identification as male, female, both or neither) not matching one's "assigned gender" (identification by others as male or female based on physical/genetic sex).

Anyone out there who still doesn't get it????

I have a feeling that there are going to be a LOT more homeschoolers in the not to distant future.

Well, I don't think that would be a _BAD_ trend... in fact it may do society some good.

As long as we continue to blame George W. Bush for causing the HIV/AIDS problems because he is against gay marriage. I mean, if it wasn't for him wanting to ban gay marriage, wouldn't the gays turn themselves into a new meaningless cause to fight for and drop the homo act, in turn dropping the #s of HIV cases?

what a "Transgender" is?

As TexasCajun's illustration amply explains, it is necessary to preserve the institution of publik skulz, without which our children would be without answers to such life queries.

Apparently not.

Teachers Have Non-NEA Options

from staff reports

Union's recent backing of gay marriage leaves conservative educators with tough choices to make.

The National Education Association (NEA) ended its annual convention over the weekend with a vote to support homosexual marriage. Conservative teachers will probably find the position hard to support, especially with their dues -- but they do have options when looking for alternatives.

Initially, educators become members for the insurance benefits and legal protection. But when they find out about the NEA's stands on controversial issues, they often feel trapped.

Tracey Bailey of the Association of American Educators (AEE) said all is not lost.

"They can get twice the coverage for about a third of the price from other organizations like ours," she told Family News in Focus. "They can also choose to be a religious objector. They can send all of their union dues to a charity; we can help them understand how to exercise their legal rights."

Jeralee Smith, a California teacher and member of the NEA and AAE, said conservative teachers have more power than they think and should be using it.

Bailey agreed.

"What we do now," she said, "is simply help teachers take control of their own local situations."

The NEA did not return calls seeking comment.

FOR MORE INFORMATION:
Teachers, would you give hundreds of dollars to an organization that supports abortion, promotes homosexuality and attacks Christian groups? The NEA does all these things. But no teacher has to be a member of the National Education Association. You have a choice. To learn more about it, read the Focus on the Family's Grading the NEA.

Thank you for doing your job, Sir.

You may be in violation of your union rules for it, and law are being written as we speak to correct your narrowmindedness.

The primary purpose of publik skulz is to weaken and indoctrinate. Education, if it happens, is an unintended side effect.
