I agree. This is one of my all time favorite shows and I also had the pleasure of living IN Cincinnati while it was on the air.

Carlton and the 'foot powder' was one of the funniest TV episodes for any comedy program I have ever seen.
I still laugh to tears whenever I see that segment. It is a classic.

Hmmm, I wonder if the original music will be on the DVD. I read a while back about old shows dubbing in sound-alikes because of music licensing problems (artists, record studios, songwriters, etc.).
To: lowbridge
It's possible, even likely, that the music that was part of the original episodes (it's a radio station, after all) will be replaced by generic mush in order to save royalty $$$$.

One of the best shows in TV history No doubt. It was what they now call "appointment TV."
All in the Family, Mary Tyler Moore and The Bob Newhart Show got all the sitcom props back then, but WKRP was hands down the funniest.

I hears that there will be no original music. It will be replaced with generic music because the copyright owners of the original tunes were asking for way too much money. Negotiations went on for a very long time, but the song owners just wouldnt budge in reducing their prices to something more reasonable. Their loss, I say.
I watch WKRP for the comedy, not for the music

in 1996 before i became a freelance illustrator, my company moved into a new building. my graphics department did not have a door so i put 100 mile-an-hour tape (green duct tape) on the floor ala les. the president of the company was not amused.
