Sean Hannity Has Sold Out Conservatives For a Leftist Named Rudy
Wagglebee | 3/22/07 | Wagglebee

Posted on 03/22/2007 4:21:50 PM PDT by wagglebee

Tonight on Hannity's radio show he gave an entire hour to Rudy Giuliani. This is at least the third time in recent weeks that he has pandered to this pro-abortion, pro-illegal alien, gun-grabbing liberal.

In all of these segments on radio and TV, Hannity has never questioned Rudy's pathetic explanations for his liberalism. Hannity claims to be a conservative, but gets absolutely giddy over Rudy. I am beginning to wonder if Hannity's conservativism was just an act all along.

Now and then Hannity will have short segments with Newt, but he has been doing that for years (and Newt is not an announced candidate yet). Aside from this, Hannity has barely made mention of any of the other GOP candidates and certainly no admission that they are actually conservative. Hannity ended tonight's show with an excited promise to have Rudy the RINO back on soon.

I am just wondering if any other conservatives are fed up with Hannity.

Again, there are NO true conservative Republican announced candidates yet.

Fred Thompson would be the only conservative in the race if he joins it......

Sean Hannity is a good looking guy with a low IQ who only appeals to lonely housewives. Thankfully, I can get Medved out of Philly when Hannity is broadcasting on WABC out of New York.

Regarding the title: whatever else Rudy is, or might be, a leftist he is not. He is not a social conservative, that's for sure - but one could be a not-so-conservative rightist, a perfectly plausible situation.

Why is it so hard to understand why many, many conservatives are backing Rudy Giuliani? Perhaps, like me, they see him as the only person who can keep the Dastardly Duo OUT of the White House, and someone who is fiscally conservative and tough on crime and terrorism. Who the hell wants to go through another 8 years of a Hillary and Horndog administration......God!

And Rudy is NOT a LIBERAL no matter what the Rudyphobes keep whining about.

How can anyone take the empty-headed blabbermouth Hannity seriously? FNC has made him famous among the bimbettes, and he's striking while the iron is hot.
He's the TV's equivalent of Paris Hilton, only not as deep.

Yep, I did a long time ago. Sean's totally a Guiliani one-man cheering team!!

I did attempt to try to understand just why but never could actually understand other than Rudy's from New York (even though Hillary pretends to be) and also Catholic.

Those two reasons are not enough for someone to "drink the Kool Aid" this early in the process, in my opinion.

Is Joe Lieberman a liberal? What about Dick Gephardt and Tom Daschle, are they liberals? Because all of them are pro-war and at least as "conservative" as Rudy.

According to the Rudyites, we need to ignore all of this because Rudy is pro-war. They seem to operate under some sort of delusion that the other GOP candidates want to surrender.

Newt has been on Hannity's show just about every week for years. Thompson was a huge news story last week, so Hannity could hardly ignore him. Romney is only conservative when you compare him to a liberal like Rudy. I'm not aware of him having Duncan Hunter on his show (but I may be wrong).

BUT MY MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT HANNITY TOTALLY WHITEWASHED RUDY'S LIBERALISM.

There are many other candidates who will fight the war on terror BETTER than Rudy BECAUSE they have military experience AND are against ILLEGAL immigration. Rudy is pro-ILLEGAL immigration, and let's not forget that three of the 9/11 terrorists were here illegally.

Also, al Queda is passing as Mexicans, and entering our country our southern border, as well.

Sean is going to have a different candidate on each Thursday, and each Monday.

Sean said that the phones were ringing off the hook while Rudy was the guest, so he will have Rudy on again.

Those of us who are able should call Sean's show when a conservative candidate, like Duncan Hunter, is on the show, so the phones will ring off the hook for a CONSERVATIVE.

Here's how you counter that argument.

Ok he's Pro WOT (I give them that)

However, he's also Pro Illegal Alien and Pro Open Borders.

That issue alone cancels out his "Pro WOT"

You can't have National Security with a border that leaks like a sieve. If he was TRULY in favor of the war on terror, he would be kicking screaming and demanding (as alot of us are) that the border from Texas to California be shut down tight as a drum. Then work on closing the northern border. Anything less than that is not in favor of securing this nation's security nor its sovereignty.

That leaves everything else solidly in the Liberal column.

hannity is willing to look past rudy's liberalism because he thinks any one running as a republican is better than hillary, which may be the case, but I understand your point- there is no reason to settle for a liberal in conservative clothing when we have a chance to get the real deal.

If you've ever tried to call a popular radio show like Rush, Hannity, Boortz, etc. you will know that the phones are ALWAYS ringing off the hook, it's nearly impossible to get through.

Hannity's remark that the phones were ringing off the hook while Rudy was on was just another plug for Rudy.

And Rudy is NOT a LIBERAL no matter what the Rudyphobes keep whining about.

Mr. Giuliani's anti-gun actions as mayor were more severe than anything Ms. Clinton has done. I am unaware of Mr. Giuliani having done anything to recant such actions nor to atone for them. What rational basis is there for believing that he would be less anti-gun as President than he was as mayor?

Perhaps if Mr. Giuliani promised that he would, as President, push to prosecute the people who bought guns illegally for NYC, then I might grant him some credibility. But despite the recent court cases in DC and NJ, not all of the liquid in Hades has solidified.

Sean Hannity hasn't sold out anyone. He's a Republican Party hack, not an ideological conservative. He always has been. Sure, that means we make common cause with him a lot of the time and rejoice when he scores a good rhetorical point against the left. But he's loyal to the party, not the movement, so we shouldn't expect too much.

I'm equally disgusted and have been for some time with Hannity over this issue and going back to when he served as Arnold Schwartzenkennedy's pseudo-campaign manager.

In fact, I have called his hate Hannity hotline and fired off some emails to him. I encourage others to do the same. It's time Freep him and RINO Rudy.

If Hannity wants to be a shill for the Republican party, he deserves to lose listeners.
