I am glad he is still in the running. My hope is that the rino voters will get their heads on straight and see how dangerous it is for America to vote for Rudy, Mitt and Huck and that Hunter is the best for America in every way.

Which is why I will continue to support Duncan Hunter for the GOP nomination, despite what all the other celebrity followers say. Only if Mr Hunter tells me to cease supporting his candidacy will I then choose to support the second best candidate.

People, you still have good choices in this election, particularly in Duncan Hunter. Don’t pass up opportunities like this and settle for less on the false promises of “electablility” and scare tactics of “pragmatism.” Don’t be manipulated. Vote your conscience.

Hunter 'quit' Ha!
That'll be the day when an Airborne Ranger just 'quits'. These limp wristed Nancy Boys in the MSM should do a little more research on a thing called 'Basic Principles'. And for Duncan Hunter where he 'came from'.

Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.

Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.

Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight; I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one hundred percent and then some.

Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.

Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy, and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.

Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission, though I be the lone survivor.

There's a certain GOP candidate from NY who isn't fit to shine Hunter's shoes, let alone be on the same stage as Duncan. And while Hunter was actually ON the field of battle fighting real TERRORISTS face to face, that other candidate was dodging the draft and 'dating' his cousin. Yet that person has the temerity to think he can be or is fit to be CIC.

From the link: “This former Army Ranger seems more determined than ever to advance the cause of national security, a secure border, ..”

And Hunter says that he considers border security to be national security.

John Bolton said on Mark Levin’s show that we need to make national security our top priority when choosing a presidential candidate, especially in these times.

Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum yesterday issued a release on the lack of Republican debate questions from the media/questioners re the China economic and strategic threat. Apparently the topic has been presented to the candidates at the Demorat debates.

I hope Schlafly/Eagle Forum will start loudly recognizing Hunter as the exception among Republican candidates on that crucial issue.

The GOP has apparently decided that those things can't be an issue. They're sticking their heads in the sand if they think hiding from the issue will protect them.

My guess is that Hunter has seen worse when he was staring down viet cong. A bronze star isn’t something you get by just being over there, he’s seen real action.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

As of the 12/18/07 cut-off date, there are 24 Republican presidential candidates. Hunter is listed as #17 on Arizona Secretary of State site. McCain is #16. Guiliani is 24th :)

Only Republicans and Democrats can vote in the Feb. 5th primary. This means that 30% of us Independents have to re-register before January '08 if we want to vote our Preference for Duncan Hunter.

I wonder how much of a hand McPain had in this change? Last election, we could at least ask for a Republican or Libertarian ballot. Or, Dimo, of course.

He IS on the ballot - #17 out of 24 candidates. However, Independents can't vote!!! And about 30 percent of voters in Arizona are registered Independents. We only got this notification by mail last Saturday, and have only until January to re-register.

Our one tiny radio station had a talk show this a.m., and the host was furious. I'm furious. But there's no way to change it in such a short time.

I'm telling you folks that, if you aren't registered for one of the two parties, you may not be able to vote. If Arizona suddenly changed the rules, other states may have done so, too. Check out your state on the Web for the Secretary of State ELECTION Primary.

Arizona isn't even calling it a Primary Election. It is now called "Preference Primary."

Yes, they have in Arizona. Last presidential primary election, we were given the choice of the ballot for either Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian. And that's why the radio host was infuriated. We are not being given much time to re-register if we want to vote in this Preference Primary.

Think on McCain/Feingold bill - Campaign Finance Reform. It was more a matter of shutting up the new contenders than it was about money. It was plain out unConstititional - First Amendment, free speech. McCain will complete the destruction of this nation.

I can tell you why the sudden change. McCain is not well-liked in Arizona, particularly among the veterans. If he lost Arizona, such as Gore lost his state of Tennessee, he loses face.
