I've been trying to track down where and when Hitler said "Heute Europa, Morgen die Welt" (Today Europe, Tomorrow the World.)
Google hasn't been any help.
Anyone have a source?
I may be wrong, but I think it was a much longer statement in a speech, and later condensed and attributed to him.
2:33 Am July 8th 1919 when he was getting a job as a travel agent.
I remember this line from a propoganda film in the movie “The Rocketeer”
it showed what the nazis would do when they got their hands on Howard Hughes’ rocket pack that had been created for the film...
no idea if hitler actually had said it, btw...

Sometimes you can be too specific in a search
Actually the quote goes: “Today we rule Germany, tomorrow, the world!” It’s from around 1938 I think (Appeasement time).
- 8. November 1942Loose translation: Remember when I said the Jews would wage war to eradicate the European race, but is the Europeans who will eradicate the Jews. everyone laughed at me, and many aren't laughing anymore. Those who laugh now will soon no longer be laughing. The last sentence is what's close: This wave [of not laughing anymore] will focus on Europe and spread over the whole world.
It was a popular phrase for a while. Whether he actually said it or not, and he might have since he said a lot of things, it didn’t work out quite that way.
Check with Patrick J. Buchanan: if Hitler ever said that (or anything like that), it must have been because Churchill aggravated him.
It doesn’t make any difference whether he said it or not as long as someone said he said it then everyone can say he said it quoting the first person who said so. That makes sense doesn’t it?.
Someone might recall if some Communist made that kind of statement.
I thought it was ‘Heute die Welt, Morgen das Sonnensystem.’
Very possible. It might have been in a movie, a parody. They used sarc, /sarc then too.

Anthem of the HitlerJugend:
Wir werden weiter marschieren
Wenn alles in Scherben fällt,
Denn heute da hört uns Deutschland
Und morgen die ganze Welt.
“Da hoert” is not the same as “gehoert”.
Thus, it is not, “Today Germany belongs to us ...”
but “today Germany hears us ...”
I always thought it was (don’t know how to do umlauts):
“Heute Deutschland gefaellt uns, morgen die ganze Welt.”
William L. Shirer in “Berlin Diary” (1940) translated it as
“Today we own Germany, tommorrow we own the entire world”.
Actual joke from 1965: at the Miss World pageant, the Miss Germany contestant failed to place as one of the semifinalists.
She shouted, “Today Miss Germany, tomorrow Miss World!!”
;^)
On a PC use charmap or remember all the Alt+number pad combinations (Alt+0252 is ü).
On a Mac hit Control-U (for umlaut) and then the letter you want an umlaut over, caps or lowercase.
Sorry, Option-U. Lots of other option combos for other funny foreign characters, like ß (Option-S) and ç (Option-C).
