You would think it would be simple, but I forget that the concepts of Duty, Honor & Country are dirty words to the left/press. None who have served, well none with more than 4 months in the motor pool, wonder what John McCain proved to us. We know that a man who would refuse to be released ahead of others and allow the enemy a propaganda victory definitely understands and stays true to those three pillars. The clowns on the left toss out the straw man that he learned nothing about foreign policy there. Well I disagree, he learned at least one thing. Our enemies are evil, ruthless bastards and they do not play by the same rules. Barack Obama believes America is evil and ruthless and needs the cleansing only he can lightwork.
Let's compare the two:
John McCain was so loyal to the men he was imprisoned with he endured torture on their behalf.
Barack Obama associates with those who can help his career, and throws them right under the bus when they become inconvenient to his aspirations.
That single issue of character matters more than all the others combined. You can trust John McCain. You can trust Barack Obama to use you as a stepping stone. The banty Clark fails to understand this in any way as he is a man of much more ambition than character himself. Let us not forgot this man's judgment was bad enough he ordered a British General to attack Russian troops who were on their first mission as our purported allies. Clark's unwarranted ego almost caused WWIII. Yet his voice sounds right off key with the rest of Obama''s clueless chorus.
Obama is a feather blowing in the political breeze. McCain is a rock. Vote Maverick.
Vote for Amnesty? Or Cap and Trade?
Not in this Millennial or the next.....
I was going to say the same thing about you helping put McLame in charge.
I am not excited about McCain as the GOP nominee. But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama would be far, far worse for the nation.
I’ll hold my nose and vote for McCain.
But as for those who will hold to their principles and refuse to vote for McCain: IF Obama wins in November, stay silent for 4 years (or, heaven forbid, 8), if your principled abstention helps put Obama in the White House.
In August of 1968, a program of vigorous torture methods began on McCain, using rope bindings into painful positions and beatings every two hours, at the same time as he was suffering from dysentery.[84][79] Teeth and bones were broken again, as was McCain's spirit; the beginning of a suicide attempt was stopped by guards.[79] After four days of this, McCain signed and taped[94] an anti-American propaganda "confession" that said, in part, "I am a black criminal and I have performed the deeds of an air pirate. I almost died, and the Vietnamese people saved my life, thanks to the doctors."[79] He used stilted Communist jargon and ungrammatical language to signal that the statement was forced.[89]. Source

I wonder if Obama could reset his own broken arm?....me thinks not.
In his political career, Obama threw in with people like Ayers, Dohrn, and Wright, people who loved the North Vietnamese that tortured John McCain.
Wow......That is a long read but well worth it......McCain may have his faults, but he can never be faulted for his devotion to this country and the ideals of an American Fighting Man! I have a whole new respect for him. 5 1/2 years is a very long time! I don’t think most people can actually appreciate how long that is.
(Looks like Mccain isn't the only Manchurian Candidate)
McCain reached across the aisle and the big pond to help Clinton and Kerry normalize trade relations with the Communist Vietnamese and left POW/MIA families high and dry in the process. In military vernacular, McCain is a Buddy F$*ker of the worst kind. Your "hero" has some 'splainin' to do.
Specifically, in the case of McCain, a few conservatives do not like him for justified reasons, but somehow they think that by not voting for him they will be getting an even better deal from the loony left. Especially when you factor in the stakes-—the Supreme Court.
As someone said, there is nothing McCain can say to make me want to vote for him, but everything Obama says makes me want to vote for McCain.
Of course, we can all take the high ground and elect Obama. That will teach us. . . .for generations, as that will be how long the Supreme Court will be falling left.
Yes, but John Sidney McCain is a Democrat. I saw posted an editorial from The Washington Times that pointed out no difference between B. Hussein Barack and McCain’s policy on the issue of immigration.
There are a ton of other important issues where McCain would be a much stronger president than Barack Hussein Obama, most obviously the war on terrorism. Hopefully, next time around we will have a genuine conservative to put up against the demonRats. Perhaps if McCain selects a quality person for VP, and doesn't run for reelection, due to his age possibly, this person will inherit the nomination. That is, if he (McCain) doesn't totally screw things up in his 4 years as president. Actually, no matter how bad he may screw things up, it would still dwarf in comparison to the damage an Obama presidency would do to this country.
It astounds me that liberals got all worked up about the alleged abuses of Abu Ghraib and the incivility of Gitmo, yet attack a man who endured 5 years in a POW camp, including actual torture, as somehow unfit.
Somewhere George Orwell is marveling at how prescient he was regarding double-speak.
How can John S. McCain be strong on war on terrorism when he supports amnesty with an abnormal zeal, has no interest in protecting our borders, voted AGAINST barring terrorists from entering the USA, and met secretly with LaRaza? Something is off regarding his mental state. He is weird, not somebody I could trust. I feel horrible about the coming election.
Like with all such issues, the people generating the fuss (far leftists) don't actually believe it themselves. Not for a minute. They simply plant these ideas into the empty heads of their useful idiot dupes, the liberals, who they know will carry it on from there. Folks who are basically well-intentioned, but profoundly naive, have been used this way by the far left for nearly a century now, whether it be on matters of the environment, animal rights, 'global warming', war, or any number of issues. Liberals are like sooo friggin easy to manipulate, despite the fact that they think they're intellectually superior to everyone else.
Food for thought.
John McCain was a “Community Organizer” also, but the community he organized* in was just a little bit rougher than Southside Chicago. But then again they were both surrounded by communists. :)
* Lt. John McCain, as the son of a prominent Admiral was a prize propaganda catch for the Viet Cong. They new that returning him quickly would drive a wedge in the U.S. military morale. He refused to leave the hell hole called sarcastically the “Hanoi Hilton” for 5 and 1/2 years, until all of his fellow P.O.W.s were returned home first.
