That photo was taken at an airport. It could be Honolulu International, the banners above read ‘Philippine Airlines’ and ‘Japan Airlines’.

Does anyone know if BO’s father was attending classes at the Hawaiian univsersity during the spring semester of 1961? Seeing this picture at the airport makes it seem even more likely that they left Hawaii after the “marriage.” The question is, when did they (or at least BO’s mother) retun?

Scenerio, they had a quick pretend wedding, (on Barack Obama Seniors part) since he was already married. They hopped on board a plane to go over seas since this appears to be taken at an airport. While in Kenya she finds out about his other wives and is distraught and after Barack's birth she travels to Mercer Island to see friends. (Since that is where she shows up after his birth.)

I'm trying to figure something out. If Hawaii became a state 2 years before Obama was born at his mom's age of 19, how could that satisfy the 5 year rule in the US after the age of 16? I'm having a very difficult time following what the controversy is, his citizenship, birth record or both.
I thought you were referring they had jumped onto the issue of the wedding picture since you responded to posting 1002. But you weren't. I guess you just clicked on the last posting to add another link.

Khomeini DID change all that. He made it 10,000 times WORSE and made the Shah and his SAVAK look like choirboys.
Islam and Communism are very similar in structure where you kow-tow to a supreme leader and the regime provides for you. Unlike in a democracy where the people empower and provide for the government and in theory pay for the services they receive.
In Islamic Iran, the Mullahs clearly consider the oil, natural gas and other national revenues as their personal income and share some of it with the populace. Without any real accountability for what they steal into their private bank accounts or divert to terrorist groups outside the country.
Because Iran did not reach a level of political maturity from generations of democratic principles, the Shah was obliged to “run things” in a form of benevolant dictatorship. While he set up elections for Provincial Governors, City Mayors and councils, all the way down to village headmen so the people could practice and learn how to vote politically.
All this in the face of unrelenting attacks from the Tudeh Communists and affilialted groups like the National Front, who were probably the ones you met at JC. These were the groups that the Shah’s SAVAK dealt with, not the NJOe Six Pack who wanted to voice his opinion. Or did so without promoting the overthrow of the regime - mostly egged on by the Communists.
These admitted later that they wanted political freedom - NOT for the populace - but to be able to impose their “imported” philosophies, specially from the Soviet Union.
Even their hero Mossadegh was about to hand Iran and its oil to the Soviets to restore the previous Qajar dynasty of which he was a prominent family member.
He HATED the young Shah, who had appointed him his Prime Minister and was no “nationalist” as claimed and even his own family called him a totalitarian dictator in some of their memoirs, who would brook no advice nor any dissent. He courted the Soviets to gain strnegth against the Western powers who were not favorable to him as they feared the country falling into Soviet hands.
The CIA could not stand by and let him throw Iran into the Soviet sphere of influence and a path to warm waters. They restored the Shah, who was America’s best ally and another Soviet influenced leader, some say Soviet mole, Jimmuh the idiot Carter, destroyed this ally and created the terrorist environment in which we live.
Had the Shah remained in place it is highly unlikely that the Middle East would ever have faced the current disasters. The coviets would not have invaded Afghanistan, Saddam Hussein woul dnot have dared invade Kuwait with the Shah at his flank and Islamist would not have the support and operational bases they have now.
Yes, what I think most are missing, but surely not you, is the possibility BHO is hiding the fact his parents were not married at his birth.
If so, he is guaranteed a White House berth. It will be perceived by most as an attempt by him to shield his children (especially daughters) from uncomfortable reality.
If this proves the case, then his polls will soar since the voters will respond to his “shield the daughters” response rather than any effort to truly fool others.
In the meantime, it is important to recall when President Clinton was being exposed as having fellatio performed by a female intern, his polls went up. They went up for the same reason—many saw his lies as attempts to protect Chelsey and Hillary. If our righteous Republicans would have just given him a censure they might have avoided the wrath that brought down Bob Barr, Robert Livingston Henry Hyde et al. Even Gingrich was implicated as having sex with an aide, but he avoided this conclusion by resigning from Speaker of the House. To this day Gingrich denies he responded to Larry Flynt’s efforts to expose Republicans purshing Clinton as being no better than he.
BHO will have a perfect weapon with this revelation to portray his critics as right wing, paranoid flakes and, subsequently, dismiss all the other rumors (many with substance).
First, it is understood that she was 18 when he was born.
Second, if I recall the law also applied to the U.S. Territories also. So even though it was a territory during part of that time it would count.
IF he was born in Hawaii he would be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN regardless. But IF he was born outside the US, say Kenya, his mother though a citizen did not meet the requirements.
He may at some point have become a NATURLIZED citizen, but you have to be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN to qualify to become President of the US
All of this has come about because his campaign was asked to show a Birth Certificate. The DailyKos and one of Baracks own websites choose to put up a phony one on their Webb site. Buy doing so they have lit the fire.

I don’t think BHO has ever hidden the fact that his parents were not married. He has made much about his Kenyan kinfolks and I think one of his books hinted at this omission.

I always felt the certificate was fake, but I also want to make sure the proper conclusions are drawn, and I think this author may have jumped the gun a bit with guilt by association, instead of proving the direct link to the forgery of the Kos document.
There is still plenty of time for this story to percolate.

Yes, this photo makes all of the timing and travel VERY interesting...... if Obama was born Aug. 4, 1961 then he was conceived around early Nov. 1960 (very interesting timing considering his mother “Stanley” Dunham had only entered the U. of Hawaii as a freshman in Sept. 1960, IIRC).
Now it appears they are flying somewhere for a ‘honeymoon’ or something associated with being a couple, possibly a quickie wedding (or not), and it is supposedly around Feb. 1961 if she was indeed about 3 months pregnant.
Let’s remember, folks, that in 1960-61 it was still a huge issue for an 18 y.o. unmarried female, college freshman, to be pregnant out of wedlock. HUGE problem for them and her family. Inter-racial couples were still extremely rare, even in their permissive environment of Honolulu, but what has me wondering about all the possible deception is that (1) HE was already married back home, and (2) SHE was in an extremely awkward situation for an 18 y.o. unmarried, pregnant female. So did they have a quickie wedding in Hawaii with only the required couple of witnesses, or (MAYBE) was it decided that the couple would go off to British East Africa to handle things there....?
“No one was invited” to the “wedding” so it may have been just a quick stop at the local Justice of Peace office — OR did they head off to British East Africa (not an independent Kenya until 1963)??? It would have been much easier, probably, for Mr. Obama to arrange to marry an 18 year old MINOR (in those days) college freshman on his home turf than in Hawaii.....
I recall seeing a quote from Obama’s book on one of the blogs, where he said that the circumstances of his parents’ (supposed) marriage were mysterious but that he never bothered to look into it. That statement rang a few bells, since it made me wonder whether he had basically been told the situation was irregular, don’t ask any questions.
None of this is his doing, of course, whatever his parents did or didn’t do, but somewhere in that mess there may be an explanation for why all the deception, why all the mystery, why can’t he simply present a legitimate BC and put all this to rest???
Has anyone ever seen any evidence that “Stanley” Dunham, Obama’s mother, was at the university in the Spring or Summer of 1961 or (after his birth) in the fall of 1961? Were they really in Hawaii, or somewhere else such as British East Africa??
Hers may show that she was overseas at the time of his birth.
