But the montyh/year of the birth announcement might not be December 1961 ... it is far easier to lift something from a 1960 paper (the record on file) and place it in a 1961 paper (record on file). Have we ever nailed down that Stanley Ann went to Cuba?
I do question however photo after photo that shows the physical stature of Obama Sr.vs. X in comparison to zero. You have to admit the results are striking. And then there is the 10 minute voice video. I was struck by even the ooohs and ahhs and stumbles in the Malcolm X tape that are so much a part of obama,but as you say all that can be rehearsed.
I am curious if DNA from Obama's living relatives would yield any indication as to whether or not the same father was involved? He does have the half sister Maya and the home sweet hut brother in Kenya,just curious.
I saw the videos of Dunham's friend and reference her(Stanley dunham's) inexperience even changing the new born which supports much or what you say and it's unlikely that she made a trans- Pacific flight with a new born without knowledge of changing a diaper. Just does not pass the smell test.(pardon the pun)
All I can say is you have done one heck of a lot of ground work and should be commended for such. But, there is nothing like solid hardcore evidence to support everything we are all thinking and wondering about. Some of it may be available I am not sure.
The mention of Ralph Waldo Emerson Dunham appeared in early acccounts of the family’s life in the Chicago Trib which may or may not now be available on line. I followed them from his step aunt’s(Virginia d.o.b 1935 located in AR) account of how she would be attending the coronation in D.C. Those articles appear on FR in late 2008 and mention how RWE Dunham worked at Boeing until his retirement. Other accounts also dispel the oft repeated myth that Stanley Armour discovered his mother’s body after she committed suicide when in actual fact she died of ptomaine poisoning as was mentioned in various newspaper articles earlier this year. Perhaps your best bet to find those articles is to go to google and to search for “articles posted at FreeRepublic by Chief Engineer” and focus on the Jr articles. All birth certificates for children born in British Columbia are registered with the Department of Vital Statistics and are only available to immediate family until 75 years after death. The only way around this would be to gain access to the microfiche in the basement at Vancouver General Hospital which was the closest hospital to the Salvation Army Booth Home for Unwed Mothers which was unfortunately torn down in 2002 or 2003.(That might not be as difficult as people think considering some of the robberies which have taken place at the hospital in the last year) I can finally actually obtain my father’s birth certificate by just going online, ain’t that special!
Madelyn originally worked at a restaurant but when Stanley Armour joined up she moved closer to home and took a job at the Boeing Plant so both Madelyn and Ralph Waldo both worked at the Plant while both Stanley and Ralph Jr enlisted, and Charles enlisted later (Crazy Uncle Charlie who came home from the war and remained in the attic for a year according to Jr)
Actually HI was one of the first states that took part in a pilot project of a food stamp program which began in 1959 and was officially operational by 1964. Ann was kind of ineligible for it then since she was living with her parents on University Ave then, unless she arrived back in HI in late 1962 and moved into the apt on Alexander St and applied for the food stamps THEN moved in with her parents on Kamehameha Ave.in 1963 before the whole family moved to the home on University Ave. This could also explain why when Maxine Box sent Ann an invitation to her wedding it was returned stamped “adress unknown”. Was Ann scamming the system? The above info was found under the history of the food stamp program for HI on their website.
It might also explain why the neighbor of the address listed on the birth announcement and lived there at that date says she never saw an interracial couple. Ever.
But food stamps is one thing, what about medicaid?
Look up public assistance 1960. Or public assistance healthcare 1960. There was a program for indigents.
Knowing how young girls were sent away to stay with sick relatives when they became pregnant at that time I became even more curious when the first reported sighting of Ann with infant Jr was on Mercer Island by her friend Susan Blake who described him as “very new and very pink”. I myself had experienced how easy it was to cross the border from B.C. into WA in the 60’s and it set me to wondering. I read up on how racist Seattle was at the time and how the maternity ward and nursery were segregated at the time and one specific area of the city was set aside for the blacks at the time. One of the Freepers mentioned how biracial babies looked their first week of life and my mind went into high gear researching to see if there had been a home for unwed mothers in Vancouver at the time. I also knew that Canada had adjusted at an earlier time to biracial relationships (for the most part) while in Seattle and Mercer Island the whites still crossed the street to avoid contact with the blacks. If Ann didn’t know how to change a diaper there was only one place she could possibly have been and I saw her behavior as that of a spoiled brat used to getting her own way. She had wanted to go to UW with her classmates and what better way than to have a one night stand, get pregnant, make a deal with her parents to give the baby up in exchange for what she had wanted all along which had been to go to UW. The only problem with her plan was she hadn’t learned that when you leave a place you may build it up in your dreams, but it isn’t the same when you go back, in essence you can’t go back and expect it to be the same. She changed her mind and kept the baby but life wasn’t and never would be the same as it was before she left WA state in June of 1960. Some of her former classmates did visit her and I often wonder if she had a “thing” for John Hunt because he did seem to be a frequent visitor but we will never know.
I discounted the theory of birth in Kenya for a few reasons such as the required vaccinations, the expense, the sheer logistics and the time element, besides there being absolutely no proof of Ann ever having been on the island with an infant (eg. absence of any photos of the infant with his mother or first time grandparents or father). Remember the first airlift of Kenyan students left Kenyan per a Time article Sept 5/59 and arrived in NYC per Jackie Robinson papers Sept9/59. It would take a further 24 hours for Ann to travel on to HI, definitely not something any new mother I know of would want to do! I know for a fact when I arrived at Pier 21 in Halifax (Canada’s version of Ellis Island in Feb/59) I was held in quarantine until such time as my parents could provide proof that I had all my immunizations up to date. Do you think the U.S. would have been any different?
I have never found any definite proof that Ann was ever in Cuba.
As for your years you have me a bit confused on them Where does December 1961 come from? According to the “Official story Jr was born August 4, 1961”.
BTW Thanks for a night off from all the recent worries I needed it, don’t know how much more weight I can afford to lose let alone my sanity!
If Ann was living in HI with her parents in 1960 she would NOT have qualified for either medicaid or food stamps. When she went to UH she was an out of state student and her parents would have had to pay exorbitant fees.Once she returned and moved into the apt on Alexnder St rented in her parents’ name she could have scammed the system.
In B.C. socialized medicine was in effect by the late 1940’s and Ann qualified for in state tuition as well.

Driving 75 miles from an unwed mother’s home in Vancouver to Mercer Island isn’t that far and Madelyn’s friend could have changed the baby before Ann and Jr went to visit Susan. Most babies sleep right through a car trip.

Whoever would say that is legally incorrect - if Obama was not born in the US. If he wasn't born in the US, he would have to be naturalized at some point to become a citizen (there is no evidence of that, BTW) - which would imply he is not a natural born citizen and not constitutionally eligible to serve as president.
Thanks for the ping. Particularly to #7,774. I’m now more convinced than ever that there is something on that birth certificate that makes Obama ineligible. Absolutely no other reason for congress to seek to pass legislation through the dead of night to prevent its release - ever.
There IS something on that thing, and Congress knows what it is. Dems and GOP both are traitors - every frickin one of them.
