I think most of us that have been paying attention over the years are expecting an ugly year when it comes to these types of tactics on the part of so-called liberals. Well, here we go. McCain absentee ballots being disqualified in Ohio by a Democrat Secretary of State.

If Ohio polling looks like Chicago, 'thank' Brunner

Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has a reputation as the most partisan state official in Ohio. And she works hard to earn it. The Democrat's latest stunt rejected absentee ballots for thousands of Republicans.

But it's not her first rodeo. Almost as soon as Brunner was elected in 2006, she tried to remove several Republican county elections officials, including Ohio Republican Party Chairman Robert Bennett. They accused her of "storm trooper tactics" to silence critics.

Not sure how, but we have to shine a very bright light on this. If they can get away with it unnoticed, they will not hesitate.

I’ve been going back and forth on whether I should vote absentee or actually go to the polls, like I did in 2004. Perhaps it depends on the state I suppose?

I’ve been dying for months to get to the polls on Nov. 4 to vote against Obama!

Wouldn't it be funny if Obama and his ACORN buddies spent all this effort to win Pennsylvania and Ohio and ended up losing NY and New Jersey.

OH Republicans are so low-key that they will let her do as she pleases.

Not just the state, but the voting district.

What’s the check and balance for early voting?

Agreed. The republican leadership in OH is almost non-existent. Voinovich? HA!

Brunner has been squawking for months, but was not very forthright with her solutions. Finally, she found out she was in charge and had to make some decisions and policies. When others challenged he solutions, she complained that others did not know what they were talking about.

Are the ballots tossed identified? Recontact those voters. The theory is that if it’s inconvenient to vote, the GOP won’t vote. They have that wrong. Just find out who got tossed, contact them, and they’ll show up.

Come on now. If they don’t complete the voting form correctly - by checking the box to certify that they are a qualified elector - they don’t deserve to have their vote counted.

This is the last nail in the coffin for McCain winning Ohio.

They are predicting hundreds of thousands of votes for Nobama this week. The college crowd can register and vote in a “one stop shopping” scenario. The colleges, etc. are running field trips and offering incentives, etc.

Is this what the founding fathers had in mind?
