I want to know why every candidate for President does not have to have a background check like they require for Top Secret. Let each candidate fill out the form that some of us had to fill out every five years to keep the clearance. If they cannot pass it, then they cannot run for office.

Because all government agencies are inherently political, this would be used by those in power to deny their opponents candidates that they did not want to run against a security clearance, just like Clinton sicking the IRS on all his political enemies.

Besides, that would have little to do with his security clearance. Would take a majority of votes to accomplish the ouster after impeachment… Clinton survived. Get this snot in office and only political bomb would get him out.

The requirements for President are defined by the Constitution: Age 35 or more, natural born US citizen; that's it.

Security clearances are agency requirements and cannot supersede the Constitution. It's up to the voters not to elect a Marxist to office, unless that's their choice.
