A friend of mine, who has been a life-long democrat, said that she is wavering with Obama. And she is uncertain about the Clinton's support of Obama. What follows, is my response to her.
Wellllllll, the Clintons and Obama didn't exactly get along during the primaries...if you know what I mean. :) I don't think one 'raw-raw' party night would change their bruised feelings, esp. if she was never even considered for the veep slot...(you can put lipstick on a....yada yada yada)...
It is kinda fun though from my perspective to be able to whole-heartedly root for the Clintons in this race...Yea they say they think Obama will win, but they are falling over themselves with trying to praise McCain and Palin...it's kinda funny. This has been the most entertaining and fun election season to watch..."Pass over the POPCORN!"
All humor aside, however, I think that this election will perhaps have greater bearing on the future of our lives than possibly any other previous election. It's serious times and deserves serious questions about what is the role of government in society today. Is it a big-brother that will take care of you, if you deserve it? Or is it merely a place to enforce the law and prosecute offenders.

Sounds like your friend has a simple decision - vote for McCain. Frankly, I thought your friend’s candidate Hilary ran one of the worst campaigns around - granted we’re giving her a run for her money so far, but I see McCain rebounding and winning this one with New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado in tow.
Ive been reading some about how these polls are conducted.
Dont pretend to be real smart on this,, but Im throwing something out here,,,
Rasmussen seems to defend polls that have disproportionated numbers of Democrats and Republicans.
link here:http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/why_polls_sometimes_show_different_results
Many of these polls,, I looked at,, are using registered voters and also seem to be using disproportional numbers.
What interests me here,,
Rasmussen states that:
It is even more unlikely that people will change their partisan identification on a regular
basis.
But,,, would the above statement be true in the case of McCain? Who is known as sort of a Democrat himself? Then,, throw in the fact he is running against Obama who ticked off Hillary supporters,, who might look at McCain and see a friend???
Is this election not quite a bit different than passed elections??
And I am wondering,,, are these polls using methods that are out of date,, that do not really gage what has taken place in a very unique election year???
Can Rasmussen be accurate in saying most party members will not change their vote when the Republican is thought of as nearly a Dem himself by many Democrats,, while at the same time the Democrat candidate angered many within his party with his win against Hillary. Hillary and McCain are closer personally than Obama and Hillary.
Just something that got me thinking,, very curious year.
Fun ? Scary to even THINK that such as Obama even got the nomination......:o)
Astonished, Insulted, Bizarre, Bewildered, Angry, Sedition, Traitor are words that come to mind when I think of Obama, his followers, his handlers and presstitute cheerleaders feeding this cow crap to the sheeple that vote.
Just my opinion.....Stay safe !
Still reloading.
“...I think that this election will perhaps have greater bearing on the future of our lives than possibly any other previous election.”
Well, you could say that this is the same fight that we were in with Reagan. We won then...will we now?
Not the same fight...the cheating then was not as blatant, criminal, and allowed.

If you and I get all our friends to get out and cast their ballots, we stand a decent chance. If responsible people decide to give up the ship, we’re screwed.
Be well.

Well, I wouldn’t know from experience. I wasn’t born until 1983...
