Civil unrest and martial law in the US
Several of you have privately pointed me to this story from last week in Army Times, which reports on the new, permanent mission of the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Brigade Combat team. It's not Iraq; it's within the United States. Excerpts:
Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. In August 2005, for example, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed hell in Mississippi and Louisiana, several active-duty units were pulled from various posts and mobilized to those areas.
But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.

Yeah my mother hauled quite a few of them as a truck driver. They were hauled to ports and shipped out to where ever they were going.
Funny thing. A lot of them were hauled 3 at a time in regular semi trailers because they tended to get “damaged” if they were carried out in the open. LOL

One brigade would not be enough to control the U.S. population, anyway.

I was at the gun show this weekend and one dealer told me that people should be buying ammo instead of putting money into their 401K. I heeded the warning and bought some SS109 NATO rounds.

Yes. W has spent the last 5 years carefully cleaning up old EO’s and adding new language to make them “clearer” along with issuing new ones giving himself more power than the Office has ever had - Katrina was used as an excuse for much of it.

They’ll need a lot more than a brigade if the banks freeze up this week, and have to take a “holiday,” while credit cards don’t work and mortgage payments are not credited and ATM machines run dry.

Not only would there be violence due to an Obambi loss...said violence would provide perfect cover for the MS-13 types to futher their ‘cause’.
Whoever wins, it’s not going to be pretty. JMHO.
