An Angry Republican

John McCain asked us at the GOP convention to stand up and fight with him. We are fighting, but why isn’t Sen. McCain?

I was encouraged when I saw the news of people at his events, filled with anger and calling for Sen. McCain to fight. But then today we saw him almost endorse B. Hussein Obama. Does Sen. McCain not understand our anger? We are not mad at Sen. McCain. Even those of us who don't agree with some of his political positions share an enormous respect him for the sacrifices he has made his entire life for our country. If any man could earn the Presidency of the United States, John McCain surely has earned it through his personal sacrifices and the torture he endured during his years of captivity.

But, as you all well know, we don’t select our President that way. We give the Presidency to the person who motivates us to cast our votes by proving to us that he (or she) shares our values and will protect our country from people who want to do harm to it.

Sen. McCain is in an ideal position to motivate this country to elect him. Our country has spared itself from a subsequent terrorist attack on our soil because of strong Republican leadership in the White House. The current economic crisis in our country is the direct result of the carelessness and ineptitude of Democrat lawmakers who forced banks to provide mortgages to people who could not afford homes. And, on top of everything else, the opposing party has chosen as its presidential nominee a man so unqualified and incompetent that the only thing he knows how to do well is make friends with terrorists, thieves and hate mongering racist.

Sen. McCain is aware of these facts, but he has yet to point them out to a national audience. We need to hear him say that he is not going to let us take the blame for everything that is wrong with the world anymore. We want to hear him say the war in Iraq was the right thing to do. We need to hear him say that Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Jimmy Carter are the cause of this economic crisis.

Sen. McCain defended us in Vietnam, giving everything short of his life, I honor the fact that he survived just to irritate his captors, but we want that warrior back. For eight years the Bush administration has sat quietly in the White House and allowed the Left to demonize him, his administration, and those of us who supported and voted for him and we are tired of it. President Bush has kept us safe for 8 years. Sen. McCain should honor that and defend it and promise to keep us just as safe during his term. Obama talks about stopping genocide, why does Sen. McCain not challenge Obama on why he voted to ensure genocide in Iraq? And if you believe Obama about him being the lone voice against the war in Iraq to begin with, then why was he voicing opposition to end the genocide that Saddam and his two sons were causing in Iraq? Why did Obama support Odinga, and has never denounced him, who caused genocide in Kenya?

We are angry.

We are fighting for Sen. McCain, when is he going to join us?

Respectfully,

An Angry Republican (and donor to McCain/Palin08)

good post/article.

I'm also angry that our right to get angry (see: right to protest) is being questioned by some people (especially the media)

John McCain is appreciative of that man's accomplishments?

That one's?

Make signs to tape on inside of top or bottom of back window (no obstruction of view -- or inside back window of car

VOTE NO ACORN
VOTE NO OBAMA
GOP THIS TIME

The only way Barack Obama will be elected President is for us to fail to tell enough voters.

And then there are... Herbert and Marion Sandler, the Pritzkers, and the "loose lips" of Charles Schumer and Harry Reid (and Henry Paulson is not above suspicion, with his control-freak power play and Goldman Sachs cronyism).

Get these breakthrough items out to everyone you know (or anything even more informative that comes up) -- voters, media, officials and staff of both parties, everyone. We have time if we act now.

“What the hell is wrong with him?”

An incessant need to cuddle up to socialists, marxists and leninists in the opposite party.

You sleep with skanks, you spread STDs. Simple as that.

Why is the media painting us out of control extremists because we’re upset?

The same media paints Bill Ayres (a guy who bombed buildings and killed people) as no big deal.

Dems are threatening riots if Obama isn’t coronated.

Libs are running to south America to have their pictures taken with Hugo Chavez.

And yet we’re extremists because we’re tired of taking it laying down?

Why isn’t McCain FIGHTING??? You’d think he’d get the message from the reception that Palin got.

Good question - why aren’t isn’t McCain fighting ACORN? Why aren’t isn’t he fighting Obama’s “Truth Squads” that are going to shut us down if Obama wins? Why isn’t McCain tearing Obama a new hole on the financial meltdown and Obama’s friends at Freddie and Fannie?

There are hanging softballs all over the place - don’t just lay the bat down and give up.

Here is the irony:

The unquestionably brave and heroic John McCain endured years of torture in defense of he country he loves.

Obama represents at least, a dangerous signpost on the downward spiral of America which began in the mid 1960’s, but in reality, his presidency would be much more treacherous than that. An America hating Marxist as Commander in Chief of our magnificent armed forces? Absolutely reprehensible.

So why would John McCain not NOW fight for his country, against this MUCH greater danger, as he did in the Hanoi Hilton 40 years ago?

To be fair, a series of official ads from the campaign has been pointing out some of these issues, and link 0bama directly to ACORN, Ayers, etc. We cannot use all of them at once because it will dilute the message.

"if a republican had done one fraction of the damage they’ve done"

You got that right! Imagine if two republican committee chairman were involved with enabling Enron! They would have resigned from congress in disgrace. The media would have worked overtime to link Fannie & Freddie to virtually every republican congressman, and they would lose 75 seats on election night.

Instead, the "free market culture of the Bush Administration is to blame, and lack of oversight".

McCain cannot act in a manner that is angry, hateful, and/or prejudiced. He must maintain respect and honesty. He may have gone to far with Obama is a nice guy...but he handled people pretty well I thought. If Obama wins the election, the US deserves what we get. There is a distinct difference between McCain and Obama...and if people choose socialism and high taxes and apologies around the world...so be it. I’d rather have a strong conservative run in 2012 anyway.

There are facts in the public domain that would sink Obama but someone is making the decision not to use them.

Seems like it is down to a 527 to expose something big about Obama.
