Claim: Obama's "birth certificate" forged with sister Maya's original By Israel Insider staff August 5, 2008
Independent analysts, working separately, claim to have discovered that the original Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth used in the fabrication of the Barack Obama "birth certificate" belongs to the Presidential candidate's younger half-sister, Maya.
Examining the high resolution image originally posted by the "Daily Kos" left-wing blog and subsequently claimed as authentic by the campaign, and posted in lower resolution on the campaign official "Fight the Smears" website, at least two analysts have been able to independently discern the name "Maya Kassandra Soetoro" from artifacts left behind in the process of forging a new fake document for Barack from an image of Maya's original document. Additional confirmatory information, such as her birthday and the nationality of her father have also been resurrected. A full report documenting all details is to be published in the coming days. Israel Insider has not yet seen proof that would validate the claim.

In hindsight, the charge is that Techdude was a glory-seeker, usurping much of Polarik's groundwork, forming a collaboration with Polarik to jointly publish results, and then jumping the gun and posting the "definitive" analysis as his own work (to the annoyance of Polarik).
The more conspiratorial people had claimed that Techdude was a mole, getting in early to undermine the effort by taking the lead in the analysis and then disappearing, leaving the whole effort in doubt and with no credibility.
It was shortly after this point that Obama went to Hawaii for his vacation, and then shortly after returning that Factcheck.org had pictures of a crisp, clean COLB that looked like the posted images.

The "forensic specialist" failed to deliver the purported hidden name on the purported Obama birth certificate. But the presidential candidate continues to stonewall on producing an actual document, and a horde of bloggers and amateur sleuths are hot on his tail and the trail for elusive Soetoro or Obama documents has not yet gone cold.
What the mighty II did NOT tell anyone is why ALL of TechDude's research was bogus. I was the one who blew his cover WAY before they did.

Doesn’t matter because of HIPPA they wouldn’t release them! But just think of how many pictures you have seen of baby Barack jr., there are none! Plenty of toddler Barack but none of the infant.

I wouldn’t imagine an esteemed attorney like Berg (regardless of his political affiliation) would jeapardize the case with unverified documents. It is unverified in that Texas Darling hasn’t seen the documents in person.
So do Obama's parents qualify in this respect?
They qualify in having a Hawaiian birth certificate issued, but not in Obama being a natural born citizen because his mother wasn’t in the US for five years above the age of 16.
Just to be clear, are you saying that the “Techdude” analysis linked to in post 89 (from Atlas Shrugged) is not accurate?

But to be more specific, I'm saying that while the conclusions may be correct, the analysis was not, at least according to Polarik.
I'm saying that you should refer to Polarik's blog for his analysis of the same things.

Well, let's see. There's about 1,300,000 residents of Hawaii, not all of whom were born there, but my guess is a lot. Plus add to that all of the Hawaiian-born citizens not presently living in Hawaii, who are from one year to whatever, and, bingo...
Take your pick. All we know is that the source image belongs to whoever ordered it back in 2007.
The seal and signature are from the current registrar Alvin T. Onaka not the one from when Obama was born.
The announcement of his birth doesn’t tell you anything other than that he was born to the Obama’s who live at the stated address. To prove or disprove the announcement, I would like to see the whole article and determine if any of the other names mentioned reveal folks born elsewhere, say in the continental US.
However, this does seem to settle my curiousity a bit but my first point on not seeing the original birth certificate (or his US passport for that matter) keeps me investigating.
This is a valid point. The war was looming in Vietnam and that may have factored in why a “fellow traveler” (Viet Cong sympathizer) would want him to not be born in the US and be a Kenyan citizen, as the Obama Campaign readily admits he was a dual citizen. Parents, especially those against the Viet Nam conflict, conspired various ways to ensure that their sons were not drafted. This may explain why she married an Indonesian and moved to Indonesia during the war. (Sidenote: Did Obama ever sign up for Selective Service? Are the reports that he wants to do away with the SS accurate?)
I don’t think the announcement was anything other than proud parents or grandparents announcing that their son was born. Does the announcement say that Barack was born in Hawaii or just born to the Obama’s whereas Stanley Dunham Sr. posted it out of pride. There isn’t anything suspect in the announcement in my mind.
