Come on now. Knock it off. Obama is a decent man. McCain says so. And decent men pal around with scum all the time.
For a lot of people it comes down to the gravy train. I have an able-bodied friend who is on full disability. He heard that Medicaid was going to be cut. He is a total racist and throws the N-word around all the time, but he told me today he would be voting for Obama. He threw out a few silly reasons such as that he likes the way Obama looks and talks versus the way McCain looks, etc. But it’s really about the bottom line. My friend thinks Obama will cut Medicaid, etc., less than McCain. That’s really all there is to it, at least in a certain number of cases.
