*Vanity Alert- despicably disguised 'pro life' flyer I rec'd- beware the Obama lying abortion squads
10-22-08 | Starwise

Posted on 10/22/2008 10:50:11 AM PDT by STARWISE

After Mass, I walked out onto the public pavement (this Church is right on the pavement in Chicago, so there's no 'church property' per se in front of it), and there were 2 men standing outside greeting the parishioners with flyers.

One man was in a sport jacket and bow tie and looked like an academic; the other was rather young, punky looking and in black leather.

On reading the title, "What Are The Moral Obligations of the Pro-Life Voter?," I expected it to be a call to conscience, and complemented the older man, who said, "thank you .. I wrote it."

Standing on the sidewalk, I continued to peruse the text, and my antennae were immediately alerted at the first paragraph:

"Americans overwhelmingly favor legal access to abortion. Perhaps as many as two-thirds, but certainly more than 60% of Americans believe that abortion is a private matter and discretionary abortion should be available to a woman in the first trimester. Not only are these numbers simply insurmountable, but they have not changed in thirty years! The idea that a Pro-Life government could be elected, much less impose a ban on abortion, is naive at best."

The heat of fury immediately rose in me like I touched a hot skillet.

I walked back to him and said, "I take it you're not voting for Sen. McCain. "No," he said .. "Sen. McCain is not pro life."

"He most certainly is .. he's 100% pro life," I retorted. And I proceeded to rip up the flyer in front of him and gave him a "God help you," as I turned and walked away, completely infuriated. I've been burning about it ever since.

He stated he was R.M. Schultz on the back of the flyer, that he was a "believing Catholic" and attends Mass regularly at another parish locally and included his email, which I'll be happy to share via FRmail, if others are interested. I'm contemplating mine to him.

So beware .. folks at all Christian/Evangelical churches in the days ahead.

These despicable demons ... could be paid Soros operatives, who knows .. but they're out there deliberately deceiving folks.

I've contacted both the parish he said he attends and the parish where it happened to inform them.

Satan truly is walking the earth.

TOPICS: Conspiracy; Government; Politics; Religion
KEYWORDS: abortion; antichrist; catholic; deception; dncfalseprophets; falseprophets; mccain; obama; prolife
It was on blue paper, and taped after my ripping .. so the less than excellent quality. But you can still read the lies.

Did you report this to your Pastor? They should put something in the bulletin to warn parishioners. I would call the Archdiocese, too.

As I said, I’ve reported it to both parishes.

Before you flame me, and yes I am young, I must give my 2 c.

Maybe these gentlemen were not obama voters (but 3rd party)..

They may be sincerely against abortion, however lament the fact that 30 years of Pro-Life activism has done very little (Legally) to outlaw abortion, no I was not in the pro-life marches back in the day, however I am STRONGLY PRO-LIFE (myself) and I see very little fruit to actually outlaw abortion.

Maybe we should retool, change strategy, ect, but more could be done AGAINST THIS MURDER:

Take the “Colorado Personhood Ammendment” for one instance-this is a genius way to defeat abortion by (legally) recognising what has been know to God and Creation since the beginning/creation of man-that those humans in the womb are PERSONS and should have legal (and moral) rights to life. Murdering a baby is (and should be before the law) the same as murdering anyone else.

Afterall, I have to ask you one question- Did these gentlemen ACTUALLLY advocate for OBAMA?? Or did they merely lament the lack of progress withing the Republican party as I stated above..?

Now given that a choice between Obama and McCain-Mc is definately the more pro-life vote..

If you still have anger toward them, then just pray and Give it to the Lord!

Blessings,

JS

What's the big deal? Does Pfleger still have a parish? Is Richie Daley still getting Communion from the Archdiocese of Chicago?

The entire city of Chicago, and Springfield, are in the tank for Obama. Why should the Church be any different? It's why I left Chicago, long ago. The stench of corruption made me gag.

I understand that you are trying to provide the benefit of the doubt.

However, upon careful scrutiny of the flyer, you will note that it specifically attacks Republicans. There is no such attack on democrats. It also uses the term "woman's right to choose enjoys constitutional protection"...a catch phrase of democrats.

Legalizing abortion only provided legitamcy to murder. And as such, it has become a form of "birth control."

Personhood in the womb is at the very core of the pro-life strategy and thus the Colorado ammendment does not involve any retooling.

In reading through what I can make out on the flyer, I see evidence that the writer(s) are most certainly not pro-life. Some of it reads like a Planned Barrenhood leaflet. Not flaming, just asking you to take a really good look at it.

Soros funding pro-Obama Catholic groupsy Michelle Malkin • October 22, 2008 09:10 AM
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/22/soros-funding-pro-obama-catholic-groups/
He’s got his tentacles everywhere.

Life News reports: “George Soros Funds Catholic Groups Making Obama Seem Pro-Life on Abortion.”

A Catholic pro-life group says new information adds to the criticism a couple of Catholics organizations have already received for trying to make Barack Obama seem pro-life on abortion. Leading abortion activist and billionaire George Soros is behind the groups.

Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics United have been working overtime to mask Obama’s pro-abortion views. The groups have called him pro-life even though he supports unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy for any reason.

In comments sent to LifeNews.com today, Catholic League president Bill Donohue exposes the nexus between George Soros and two left-wing Catholic groups.

In 2006, Soros’ Open Society Institute gave Catholics in Alliance $100,000 (double the amount he gave in 2005), Donohue indicates. In the same year, Catholics in Alliance listed Catholics United on its 990 as an organization with which it has a formal relationship.

Donohue says John Podesta, who runs the Soros-funded organization, Center for American Progress, admits that he works closely with Catholics in Alliance and Catholics United.

Denver archbishop Charles Caput called out the left-wing groups last week:

n an address delivered to a women’s group last week, Archbishop Charles Chaput of the Archdiocese of Denver strongly criticized Obama-supporting Catholic Doug Kmeic, and called it absurd for self-professedly pro-life Catholics to support Obama, “the most committed ‘abortion-rights’ candidate … since the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973.”

“To suggest - as some Catholics do - that Senator Obama is this year’s ‘real’ prolife candidate requires a peculiar kind of self-hypnosis, or moral confusion, or worse,” said the archbishop, who emphasized that his address at the ENDOW (’Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women’) dinner expressed his views as a private citizen, and not as a representative of the Church.

Archbishop Chaput made his remarks as he spoke about his recently published book, “Render Unto Caesar,” in which he delineates the role of Catholics in the political life of the nation. He then mentioned Prof. Doug Kmeic’s book, “Can a Catholic Support Him? Asking the Big Question about Barack Obama,” in which Kmeic had quoted part of Chaput’s book and claimed that the archbishop’s reasoning and his are “not far distant on the moral inquiry necessary in the election of 2008.”

“Unfortunately, he either misunderstands or misuses my words, and he couldn’t be more mistaken,” said the archbishop in reply. Kmeic, whose “strong record of service to the church” the archbishop commended, recently went public with his support of Obama, and has encouraged Catholics to vote for the virulently pro-abortion Obama as a morally viable option.

“His activism for Senator Obama, and the work of Democratic-friendly groups like Catholics United and Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, have done a disservice to the Church, confused the natural priorities of Catholic social teaching, undermined the progress prolifers have made, and provided an excuse for some Catholics to abandon the abortion issue instead of fighting within their parties and at the ballot box to protect the unborn,” continued the archbishop.

“To portray the 2008 Democratic Party presidential ticket as the preferred ‘prolife’ option is to subvert what the word ‘prolife’ means,” he said.

Bishops warn against prolife infiltrators
Two committees of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops have spoken out on the abortion debate, urging Catholics to study church teaching on prolife matters rather than rely on statements and materials from outside organizations.

Catholic News Service reports that the Oct. 21 statement made it clear that Catholics are required to oppose abortion on demand and to provide help to mothers facing challenging pregnancies.

Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, chairman of the Committee on Pro-Life Activities, and Bishop William F. Murphy of Rockville Centre, N.Y., chairman of the Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development, cautioned Catholics about the numerous materials that have surfaced recently that attempt to “interpret Catholic teaching” or imply that such resources “represent the teaching of the church.” They affirmed that the year-old “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship” document is “the teaching that has been approved” by the bishops to help guide Catholic voters.

They also encouraged Catholics to review documents issued by local bishops and state Catholic conferences for guidance prior to the election.

The prelates’ statement was released in response to two arguments that have surfaced in the abortion debate during the run-up to the Nov. 4 election.

The first maintains that the Catholic Church should accept the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision on abortion as a “permanent fixture of constitutional law” and the only way to reduce abortions is through broader government support for pregnant women. The second holds that the church should focus solely on restoring recognition for unborn children’s human rights and that proposals to provide life-affirming support for pregnant women distract from that effort.

“We want to be clear that neither argument is consistent with Catholic teaching,” the prelates wrote. “Our faith requires us to oppose abortion on demand and to provide help to mothers facing challenging pregnancies.”

In issuing their statement, the bishops signaled both sides of the abortion debate that efforts to protect life must take place both in the social and political realms.

“Providing support for pregnant women so they choose to have their babies is a necessary but not sufficient response to abortion,” they said. “Similarly, reversal of Roe is a necessary but not sufficient condition for restoring an order of justice in our society’s treatment of defenseless human life.
