Any Reasons I Shouldn't Vote For Obama?
Elective Decisions ^ | 10/25/08 | Chris Davis

Posted on 10/26/2008 9:16:54 PM PDT by writer33

It's time to go vote tomorrow, and I just can't think of a reason to not vote for Obama/Biden.

Below is my life story, showing you why it's time that I get my cut:

I was born a poor, white child in the back of a Ford Pinto-or maybe just conceived-behind Wal-Mart in Corpus Christi, Texas. There I languished in the public school system, being forced to eat nothing but Spam and Deviled Eggs while awaiting LBJ’s “War On Poverty” to pull me out of the Corpus Christi ghetto. Painfully, I suffered under President Ronald Reagan’s jackboots. I agonized year after year that government would raise me from the ashes of poverty. Luckily, a sympathetic liberal teacher helped me get into the local community college. After only taking six years to get my Associates Degree, I finally realized that Bush was indeed the devil, and that he was responsible for my plight in life. Then, a savior arose from Chicago land. He walked across the water and filled my soul with joy. For he was Barack Obama!

Now, armed with my degree, I work hand in hand with the Obama campaign to bring down Big Oil, Big Pharmaceutical, Wal-Mart, and all Republicans in the name of real change. I work hard to insure millions of poverty-stricken Americans, such as myself, will not have to endure Spam and the Reagan Revolution ever again. Instead, they will enjoy the spoils of caviar with the help of yet another minimum wage increase. I will not rest until minimum wage is $50.00 per hour. This is the life that I’ve chosen, and this is the motto I’ve taken.

Actually, if you read all of that, then you'll know that I'm full of b.s., and instead, I refer you to this:

An Amazing Post Supporting Rush on Free Republic

January 28, 2004

Listen to Rush…

“(…talk to Chris, and thank him for his moving essay)

Below you will find the text of an essay posted on FreeRepublic.com Tuesday night by a man named Chris Davis.

I signed off the computer last night in sheer boredom in the midst of the speechifying after the New Hampshire primary, and I went about the house doing other productive, fun things. When I got into work in the morning and fired up the computer, my brother sent me a note, along with seven or eight other people saying you will not believe this post on Free Republic about you. I went there and read it. I was rendered silent and speechless. It blew me away.

To have somebody take the time not just to write it, but to even think and feel that is overwhelming to me. At the end of Wednesday’s program, Chris Davis called in and I thanked him personally by making him a member of Rush 24/7 and giving him a few items from the EIB Store.

It’s just one of the nicest things that somebody I don’t even know has ever said about me, Chris, and I can’t thank you enough.”

And to this:

P.S. - for the first time since the March 11 terror attacks in Spain, I’ve changed my tag line. The new part is hard to miss.

My only wish is that the folks who truly need to understand this post would read and understand it as satire instead of validation. Sigh.

You want more govt and more taxation?

How about freedom?

YOu want more govt invasion of your life?

Why not? Because Communism sucks and they have been fighting in the streets for it for 40+ years and the shackles of servitude to government would take twice as long to cast off.

The rest of the world is now tossing off socialism, we don’t need to make that mistake.

What’s wrong with oil, pharmaceuticals and Wal-Mart?

Does anyone understand these people? If anything, oil, pharmaceuticals and Wal-Mart have made many peoples lives more comfortable and happy.

One and only reason - if you don’t, then you will be dragged through the mud and therefore will not feel good about yourself.
