Historical Inevitability: Or how the MSM will discover how crow tastes come Tuesday.

Ah hello Freepers, Up until a few days ago, I was an eyore. Yep. It looked grim..but something funny happened. And it happened in spite of the pundits, the Axelrods and the Obama spin machine. The people of America took a hard look at the messiah the supposed "learned classes" mean to foist on us, and they thought it over, and answered: "nope". See, America's a land of few words once we make our mind up. You can tell real Americans...we are the strong, silent types. When we move...we move mountains, liberate nations, even save the world thrice in the last century. We have elected all manner of great men to the Presidency, some were more accomplished than others..But they were all elected because they had done something noteworthy. So, what has Mr. Obama done? He was that peculiar brand of person known as a "community organizer". I've known their type. Once you get past all the rhetoric, and the silly ideas, of which there are several, you find these things to be true:

1) They haven't a clue about how real people live and work. The only circles they run in are populated by either their own punching their tickets on the way to better things, or the people who they supposedly champion in between being media darlings and using their plight to further their own agenda. They're utopians who have no clue that everything they think is new has been tried before (having a BA in history allows me to say that).

2) They have this idea that the individual does not matter, only the group and god help you if you do not fit their pre-concived notion of what you should be as a member of that group. For supposedly tolerant people, they have a convert's zeal to make sure everyone else agrees with them. Heaven help the rest of us if they do truely get angry enough to do something dumb in the name of those beliefs.

3) Their beliefs trunp reality: They've viewed the world through the unique prism of a marxist dialectic for so long, they are incapable of any other point of view. They see Obama as more than a flawed, mediocre being, they see him as a historical force, living proof of the truth of historical inevitability. Finally, they shout "Socialism will finally get it's fair chance!". As if the 100 million dead souls from the 70 years of experimentation with the more extreme forms was not enough proof of the folly of this belief.

So this is what they face. They have ideological blinders on, and they can't see the fact that the halo wasn't there to begin with, that their messiah would send their trust-funded selves to the same wall that he would happily send the rest of us to. Because, like them, he believes his accident of birth gives him that right..unlike them however...he sees those trust-funders as useful idiots to his path to power. They will be purged, right along with the allies of Clinton, who were outmanuvered by this cipher of a man.

But Mr Obama forgot something...he forgot something very important in his march towards his inevitable destiny.

He forgot us. Now, get out there and vote...and let's remind him that inevitability is a crock!

“... how the MSM will discover how crow tastes come Tuesday”

You think they would know better. Kerry handed them the appetizer last election.

Fantastic! I agree 100%.

“You can tell real Americans...we are the strong, silent types. When we move...we move mountains, liberate nations, even save the world thrice in the last century.” actually brought a tear to my eye.

Given the media bias when they prognosticate about what a America wants — CHANGE — ask yourselves if it is really their own desires being sold to America. Was America tired and disillusioned about Iraq or where the journalists because it didn't fit their left wing position of retreat? What made America tired? I mean they didn't have to buy war bonds, there wasn't rationing or the draft — there was just the incessant glow of bad news emanating from TV and the movies, all nicely generated by the leftist media. The patriotic American who wanted to contribute to the war effort just had to switch off the tube — that was all that was required whether he knew it or not. So was the 06 election really a referendum on Iraq? Was it really a probe about what the common man really thinks or was it propaganda sold to us by the media? We don't know and we certainly won't get the answer from the MSM because media, given the opportunity, will lie their faces off. When Obama is selling a bill of goods like “CHANGE” America has to be very careful that it really wants change because the change Obama is planing isn't like changing the channel on a TV set if you don't like the programing. You're gonna be stuck with it, and maybe indefinitely. So was America really that bad for the common Joe the Plumber? I don't think so. It was bad for the Democrats because they weren't in power, but that's about it. Buy Obama’s vague message of change and you might end up flushing the American dream down the toilet. Just talk to Joe the Plumber about it.

The screams of "Racism!" and "Stolen Election!" will be reduced to mumbles.
